it looks like a really well put school game. i think the kids would love it.
has for personal opinion, i think it sux. theres no timing windows during gameplay. you can't really see your score unless you walk up to the screen.
on the other hand. if a Arcade version was to be made. and made right (timing windows. grades. etc.) i would deff play this game.
the stepcharts look WAY better then Most of DDR's charts. not better then ITG but itg is dieing slowly. (i mean. you never really see them at any arcades)
they just need to remove the background movies and it would be awsome. (or atleast make them darker) _________________

Their products are really geared toward schools, gyms, etc., not individuals. So, I don't know about them building cabs and if they did, they'd probably be prohibitively expensive.
I had the opportunity to try one of their Impact arcade pads - VERY recessed arrows and they're VERY spread apart, so you almost have to be a ball of the foot player. The weight and handle are excellent ideas, I will give them that. But the pad, when I inquired about the price, was over 400EU!
In one of the videos on their site, they showed Chris Foy, don't know if he still is is with them. But yeah, it does look basically like ITG, but done as a multi-player system with wireless pads.
The dance machine vids are are ITG, not iDance, which I believe? is something PG wanted to make as their own dance game as part of the whole system ... the pads also look different, but then PG was at one point somehow affiliated with CF, I guess before they started making their own hard pad. Hard to tell, the videos are from 2007 and early 2008. Think they'd update them since iDance has been officially released. _________________

They're planning IDance home version and arcade version but those wont be released anytime soon (home probably end of this year and arcade next year iirc, but I honestly doubt the arcade will be typical dancing game arcade, I guess they're making it more like multiplayer system =(). The reason they had to release the gym version already now was that they are not allowed to sell ITG multiplayer anymore because of the Konami lawsuit. Anyway I'm not really that satisfied with the game after trying it.
What it comes to Positive Gaming Impact Arcade the prototype pad they had was really good but it had like super-recessed arrows and it made playing really hard. Then they made changes to the first production model and it was really horrible and unsensitive pad so they made quickly second version of it which is slightly better than the first one but still not even close as good as the prototype they had. I had one of those pads but I sold it immediately after I got it (prize pad anyway) because it's actually worse than CF unless they make it better in the future.
Oh, and the prize of the pad isn't 400 euros, it's ridiculous 700 euros which is no way worth of the pad when you can buy CFs for half prize these days. |
