Been wanting to get some for a while now, and now seems the best time!
I've had many encounters with the home mats, those ones that are foam or plastic and they all just don't it for me. I just crave that arcade feeling.

So, after doing a bit of searching I found this:
http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-revolution-2-pc-v2-arcade.html
Im getting the 2 pads for my friends who also play.

I don't want to spend a lot of money, and the rest of the double pad bundles seem extremely expensive, some over $1,000.

So, I ask you, are these pads a good choice? Are they actually pretty bad?
If you have any better ideas, please note that I need:
Metal
Close to arcade as humanly possible in feel (not so much color)
Has to have handle par similar in position to arcade one.

Thanks for any help.

Uh, does this belong in the "Bemani Controllers" forum? From what I have read, I have heard bad things about ddrgame.com, so you might want to be careful about that site, and your description suggests a Blueshark might suit you. Oh wait, you mentioned you do not want to spend a bunch of money. Well, I suppose that is even more reason to check the "Bemani Controllers" forum as I am no expert although I am planning to construct at least one as soon as I can...

Those pads will break and probably be a horrible investment. Here are your options:

1. Play at the arcade
2. Buy 1 or 2 cobalt flux arcade modded pads. Use a chair or sofa or some other surface as a bar.
3. Buy two bluesharks.

You could look at purchasing the pads on the Marketplace section of this website in order to save a LOT of money. I got my cobalt flux for $200 on here.
