Fixing a My My Box metal pad

so my cousin went to a garage sale and got a metal dance pad. http://mymybox.com/ddrmt6.html

the pad responds but theres a problem.... its like lagging and doesent respond to hands....

can i fix this some how? when i stand on it and have too buttons in at once it wont register no more. i would have to jump like 3 feet high then press a button. and it still doesent get a arrow. (best i could get was like a -decent)

i got off the pad and started pressing buttons with 1 foot. it was working for a lil. but i would have to hit the arrows like 1 whole second before they came up

what should i do

you need a new control box. That should fix everything, trust me. A bad control box can screw up everything, it happens all the time
