It seems like a lot of people have trouble with the Japanese words not having stressed syllables; it takes some getting used to with English as a first language, but it makes figuring out pronunciation much easier. _________________

L'amore can be pronounced "Lawnmower in the Library" as well. _________________

Dude, no.
If you're going to try to tell me that, then songs like, oh say, Break Down, Dive, Dive to the Night, Ever Snow, Graduation, Happy Wedding, Hold on Me, Kiss me all Night Long, love Shine, Love Love Sugar, Miracle Moon, Pink Rose, Tears, True..., and White Lover should all be pronounced as if they were Japanese.

Um, you mean Tsugaru? gg. _________________

Yeah, I'm assuming half of these are a joke, but i must clarifly "un duex trois" is french, "un" is pronounced like it sounds. _________________

I imagine it's hard to pronounce it when you don't know how it's spelled Tsugaru: tsu - gah - roo (no emphasis in Japanese).
chennymountain wrote: | un deux trois=Ehn duh (like oo in book) twah |
It's French, so "deux" is not "doo." The "eux" is pronounced the same way as the 'u' at the beginning of "un." I'm not exactly sure how to write the pronunciation though.

That might be a how a Japanese person would pronounce them, but the titles use English words, so they are pronounced as they are in English. _________________

I'm going to assume you were joking, but still say "no" just to clarify. It's V as in Vivaldi. _________________

Correct. It's just the letter "V"...& it's an interpretation of Vivaldi's Concerto for Violin in F Minor, Op. 8, No. 4, RV297, "Winter", I. Allegro non molto.
The V is for Violin! *obvious sarcasm* |

Not like it really pretains to the content of the thread, but the kanji used for Nijiiro on the front page (è·ç½) actually reads as "Nishiro". Nijiiro reads as "è¹è²".
I also agree with the point that even if the song is sung in Japanese, if the title is written in English (or even in Katakana), please do pronounce it in plain English. |

So I saw this topic and I thought, "How DO you pronounce 'X'?" (only partly joking)
As in DDR X
Ecks? DDR X is the 11th regular series DDR arcade game, so I wouldn't think DDR Ten, but I have wondered about this. We already have DDR Extreme which is very frequently called DDR EX, and I know Konami's doing some annoying stuff, but really? Would they really do that to us? _________________
