I hate it when people jump on the unused pad while your playing single, and "attempt" to follow with the arrows. Or when they start 'dancing' which really makes me cringe, they look like they are dancing to afronova / having a tantrum.
Also, i hate it when really stubborn people play the game, they see you waiting, finally after "just passing" 3 light songs they put more money in the machine, and you wait more. I also hate seeing people return there feet to the center panel, I hate that so much xD _________________

Yesterday I was reminded how much I dislike those kids who hop on the pad and don't put any money in, they just stand there during the demo attempting to tap arrows. Fortunately, such kids provide a good audience for when I play. One of their parents actually gave me her unopened bottle of water when I commented I was thirsty. |

Really? My audiences are usually adults, I somehow don't think I've ever had a kid watch me... They are usually nice people though and ask me how I do it. _________________

Most of my "audience" consists of dumb wiggers & skater kids who do nothing but torment me while I'm playing DDR. Earlier today, I was close to passing Paranoia Respect on Heavy for the first time but then these dumb wiggers came up and started ape stomping on the unused pad in order to do a bad imitation of me, which through me off and caused me to fail. I then simply said "You're fucking gay" and walked away. They tried to follow me through the mall for a minute or two but they walked into Finish Line and I just kept walking onwards towards Best Buy. I seriously fucking hate playing DDR in public now because of all of the times I've made fun of for no good reason. |

That's where being ~6'10" (~208cm) really helps. They may think I look silly (I do), but they generally are too scared to say it to my face.
For those who don't get it (had a few over the years), I've found walking over to them, staring down at them (effectively making them look up at a very awkward angle), and saying "excuse me" works wonders.
There was only one guy that didn't work on. He pushed me, I slugged him, he left. Worked wonders. |

Yeah, except I'm 5'4'', have no muscle, and I tend to be an easy target because of what I wear which is usually shirts of bands I like that wiggers hate. |

ok, i never thought that so many of the things listed here could happen to me on the same day, but here goes.
~RANT OF THE DAY WARNING~:
I'm playing one of the courses on DDR supernova i think it's called hardcore, it has Da Dan Do, Fire?, Crash!, and Volcano.
So it started when I was playing Fire I think. This girl jumps on the 2P pad. After standing there for a bit, she shouts "Do you like do nothing other than play DDR", then to her friend, "He probably doesn't have a life outside of DDR." This doesn't bother me because it's not true, but they do screw up my combo when i turn to answer them. Then, I think they might leave, but it's Crash time, and she's STILL on the pad talking loudly to her friend. As i'm playing the song, she says "I KNOW THIS SONG, then starts talking about how her friend and she should do it on expert, the whole time i'm trying to keep my combo... and THEN, when I get to volcano she goes OMG, calls over her friend, which i'm like what? Then, "Oh wait, I thought that said NGO" (aren't you intelligent...
)
I'm in the middle of Volcano, and she's STILL talking to me, and asks if this is my last song about three times because she and her friend want to play, and every time i turn to answer her my combo messes up Finally, I finish, and wait my turn. I shouldn't have bothered. They stand on the pad for no less than 10 minutes doing absolutely nothing. I didn't even wait to find out why, and I know that they weren't waiting for someone. When they finally start playing... um... they do stuff on standard and... whatever. Luckily, they didn't come back. _________________

The arcades I've been to aren't all that bad. The little kids are usually respectful, because they're kind of shy and scared of people my age (17) and are generally good at listening for this reason. The thing that annoys me the most is probably how crappy the pads are. The Boomers I've been to a few times has a MAX2, Supernova, and Extreme, and out of the 6 pads there, only 2 or 3 of them actually register holds. The rest just give you a No Good immediately...
Another thing that annoys me is when some guys have enormous body odor and no suppressant smell. If you're going to go play DDR on and off for 3+ hours at an arcade, you ought to put some deodorant on. I myself sweat a LOT, but I make sure I bring my cologne and deodorant and an extra shirt depending on how long I'm going to be there.
Edit: Oh, I almost forgot. It bothers me when people assume that I play DDR because I want to get good at dancing and that I'm doing a bad job of it. I wish DDR was called something else. I play to maintain my fitness, balance, stamina, and footwork. Playing first-person shooters doesn't mean you really want to go war, after all... |

non ddr players that shadow you
non ddr players that shadow you on the opposite pad
wandering children
people who talk to me while i'm playing
people who laugh / joke / sabotage / or interfere in any way, shape, or form (I have gotten kicked out of a few arcades for getting revenge.)
people who get angry because you got a high score on "their song"
that one person or persons who play the same song over and over on light while you patiently wait for your turn
people who make fun of people for using the bar
people who play in muddy / dirty shoes and do not clean up their mess after they are done
people who cut in line
people who HAVE to pick all the songs
people who walk in front of your field of vision
people who say that they are better than you |

Haha, this has sorta happened to me a few times, although it was partially because of me trolling. Back when we had a cab with Joint Premium, people would take turns paying for Versus mode... every once in a while the guy who paid would pick the same song repeatedly to work on his score... and on more than one occasion, I would consistently beat him, even beating one guy to the privilege of first AAA on iFutureList on that machine. That guy got MAD He can't complain that I'm distracting him, in theory if I'm getting a better PA the sound of my footfalls should be more help than hindrance.
Another of my pet peeves are the urban youth who think they are "gangsta", so they insist on cutting in line and then playing songs way over their heads. I think the only time that kind of thing is permissible is if it's a r21 ITG2 cab with Souljah Boy. |

Wow, you just stated just about everything I hate.
Here's some other ones I hate:
- Scene kids who wear super tight pants and wear eyeliner etc who play DDR and play Daikenkai on Standard EVERY SINGLE TIME. Play a different song, dammit.
- Skater kids who call you a homo and ape stomp on the other pad. Dude, wearing Darkstar brand shirts and Fallen brand shoes doesn't make you any less of a homo than I apparently am.
- The whole "ape stomp" thing in general. Do I come up to you when you are playing Time Crisis and pull out the other gun and pretend to shoot you? Do I come up to you when you're playing a driving game and mash the pedals and the shifter? Do I come up to you when you're playing Tekken/Soul Calibur and mash all the buttons? The answer to all those questions is no.
- Douche bag arcade managers. If I ask you a question, you're supposed to say something like "Sure, how can I help you?", not something like "Yeah, what hell do you want?"
- Wiggers who come up with their whole wigger posse and make fun of you. Dude, I could care less what you think, but take your Soulja Boy fanboy bullshit somewhere else. I don't want to hear how YOOOOOOUUUUUUU think I'm a homo because I play DDR, because I really don't care. |

People standing in my line of vision is pretty annoying to me. If they stand in front of the machine and try to look over the side to see what's going on it's even moreso. Don't people realize that they're blocking part of the screen when they do that? _________________

How about the people who don't know how to play and play Graduation (or whatever song is selected by default) 4 times in a row?
Or the people who take your quarter that you put up on the machine and use it to play, even though you were up next.
OR the people who attempt to STEAL the things you put on the sides of the machine. (i.e. wallet) |

When someone who is playing the basketball game drops the ball and it bounces onto the DDR pad (the game where you shout basketballs into the moving hoop is facing the ddr machine at the arcade i go to and multiple times i'll be in the middle of a song and a basketball will go flying in front of me)
