But so far I've yet to see anyone on the cover of a DDR game that actually looks like they represent a real ddr player. It looks like the mucho sexy front cover chicks aren't even focused [in the least] about playin DDR, but just swaying around like their in a club. Anyone agree?
I mean, I wanna see flat-bottomed adidas and DCs w/ ripped pants or @ least someone break dancing on the flippin' pad! Just something more applicable to us real players...
Btw, I want mind parasite, dxy!, nemesis, castlevania songs, planet songs, and a new max/paranoia for DDR X! |
What about the new 'hooded Rage' that I've seen in some of the artwork/images for the game? I always wondered why the US boxarts never depicted the characters like the JP versions did. _________________

Yeah, I mean, why in the world would anyone want to put a sexy woman swaying her body on the cover of something they are trying to sell? Konami seems to be pioneering a strange advertising movement where the sexiness of models in ads have a bigger priority than providing a realistic picture of the product. _________________

Yeah, yeah, I get it. Sex appeal heeella gains the edge on the market. But geeze, throw a pole in there with the sexy lady or something! lol, jk.
I'm just saying, why not make it more applicable to DDR? Oh, and Pie., not bashin' the sexiness, it's just that something more than a basic swaying stance would probably be better. Especially if it looked like an everyday DDR'r/ or maybe if the cover depicted a new dance/position while also representing the theme for that DDR game.
Just ideas for a cover change...Whatever happens happens, but it'd be awesome. I'm honestly more concerned about the song list than the cover fyi. |

Because nobody would buy a game with a overly fat or skinny, pasty white guy on the cover that's intended to appeal to the masses and not just the small group of dedicated players.
And I do realize, not all ddr players are fat or skinny pasty white guys, but still, that seems to be the normal "hardcore" ddr player look. |

I do not expect a rebuttal for this. _________________

Extreme 2 called, something about an 'Upswing Mix'?
Will be cool to have the original, though. _________________

More significantly, isn't this the first time that Konami has ever put any one license on more than one US console mix?
Does that mean that there's still hope for future PS2* mixes getting Jenny Rom, Judy Crystal, and John Desire?
* Not a typo. Shut up, I can hope. _________________

personally, I think the box art for ddr is horrible. Seriously you can't honestly say that this is not the worst cover for a ps2 game yet _________________

In today's market, a game series will not be introduced as a "fun new experience" unless if there is some sex appeal on the game cover. _________________

Personally, it reminds me of the boxart for Dancing with the Stars. _________________

I'm a chick, so by default, it shall be done...however, those heels reeeeeally need to be padded so I don't stab a panel, electrocute, and ultimately die. _________________
