Here's the things that annoy the hell out of me:
1. Toddlers running in front of the machine, and wanting me to get out of the game while I am playing
2. People who mock me because of my weight, and saying I will fail on my first song on beginner. Hellooooooooo, I play on Standard/Difficult mode, and some songs (mostly 6s and 7s) on expert, and have better than average perfect attack (well, at least where I live), and don't let me play "Let's Groove", cause I semi-freestyle that song in Standard mode.
3. People who want to play "Centerfold" three times in a row while playing against me. I love "Centerfold" but to play it three or four times in a row is ridiculous!
4. People who play ITG that keep saying DDR Sucks while anyone is playing DDR! ITG did bring new dimensions, but the game was ILLEGALLY Released by Roxor. And don't dare to get in a conversation of the legality of ITG with them. I have respect for anyone who plays any dance simulation game, but don't be so close minded because you have AAAAAAed every song ever on DDR thanks to playing ridiculously insane charts on ITG.
5. "DDR is GAY" talk! DDR, ITG and PIU take time, patience, and a major burning of calories to get good at it, reguardless of the difficulty you play on. It's like any other video game out there, but this has a beneficial side effect.
6. People who only play boss songs just to show how "good" they are, while in reality they are more of the average skill player pool. In the New England forum, we call this "Dancinalism" (no offense to the member with that name who created the word )
7. People who say "that song is easy", and fails that song after I challenge them to play it and show me how "easy" is for them to pass it. It's annoying, but it makes me laugh when someone makes a fool of themselves trying to play better than they can |

combination of afew things for me
people who just wont shut up when you're trying to AAA songs.
people who beat you by one great but were on a bar ad claim they are better then you.
people who play before you play heavy and play like crap and when they see you play they say they were just warming up. |

Ah, there are nuisances everywhere.
1. Kids who pick the same three songs on Easy (321 Stars Daikenkai Cartoon Heroes ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS) every time and think they're hot stuff because they A all three (this especially applies when playing joint versus)
2. People who comment that "DDR is for f&gs" or similar while I'm playing.
3. Kids under 12 in groups of 6 or more (birthday parties?) who ask if they can play the next song (as I finish the first round).
4. Kids who suggest songs to play (Legend of Max or "Daikenkai, it's really hard").
5. That one guy who saw me playing and shouted across the room "HEY CHARLEISSE, COME LOOK AT THIS FAT KID PLAY THIS!". It irked me and made me laugh simultaneously. |

Looking back, I see that many of my problems stem from children.
I have probably made someone's nuisance list at one point or another. This is because whenever someone insists on picking one song repeatedly because they're working on a AAA (because they're oh so close to getting perfect on 1998 or Sexy Planet hard), I reciprocate by practicing my Great attack. Usually it drives them away and I can play with someone more sporting.
In that one instance, I did GA 1998 and got fewer Perfects than he got Greats (6-14). Heh heh... |

LOL Try alternating early and late Great! That'll sure mess him up!
Or Good attack, to throw him further off.
Or even Boo (Almost in SN) attack!! The poor guy trying to get the AAA will keep you alive so you can get all Boo!!!
For the record, the best Great attack I've ever gotten was on Butterfly Standard, with exactly 95% Great, 7 perfect and 1 good. |

I've also tried double-streaming (inserting 8ths/16ths between arrows so that you tap out a constant beat) to get rid of PA nuts, although that wears me out really fast.
Good rushes are okay, but Boorushes are just awkward to pull off. I might as well just jump around a lot.
More nuisances I remembered.
People who
a) criticize me for holding one hand near the bar and call it bar-raping, and people who
b) whine about crummy pads the instant they get a Boo/Miss (usually because their foot was nowhere near the panel, and these people usually end up on the side with better pads anyway).
c) play while wearing those big emo-scenester knee-high boots with spikes (one, because I can't imagine what that does to a pad and two, it looks terrible and gives DDR a bad name). |

I've never had it happen to me, but I imagine if someone were intentionally trying to ruin my score it would be exactly the kind of thing I would post in this thread . _________________

Keep in mind I only do this for people who are being inconsiderate and playing several sets in a row of the same song, on joint premium, and not always on their own money (one credit pays for two-person Versus). I have also done it once to a friend for giggles (he was yelling at the machine because it took him more than ten tries to AAA iFutureList). |

I swear to higher authorities (I don't want to offend), I actually heard this. I remained silent for most of it...
Mom- "Honey, there is no money in the machine."
Young Girl- "Where do I put the dollar?"
(Change machine is RIGHT NEXT to the DDR machine and there is a sign that is impossible to miss saying the change machine DOES NOT WORK)
(Demonstration comes on. Young girl starts "DDRing".)
Young Girl- (Fixed) "Oh my gawd!"
(Demonstration ends)
Mom- "Come on, Honey,, we gotta go."
Young Girl- "But I was puh-laying-guh!" (you know, typical White girl on MTV attitude)
Mom- "No you weren't."
Young Girl- "Yes I wuz! You don't even know how the game works!"
~~~~~~~
From there I was shocked at how stupid this girl was. I don't care how young she was, to argue against your mother when she is obviously right. Ugh... Young Girl then summons her sister. Which I will properly title as....
~~~~~~~
Young Girl- "Come on [sister]! We're playing!"
[Sister]- "...!"
(Young Girl and [sister] try putting their dollar bills. They finally find the change machine. They stuff their dollars in the wrong way, complain the change machine is busted)
Mom- "The change machine isn't working. You should've read the sign!"
Young Girl- "Then how do we get our change?!"
(Demonstration comes on again. Both girls "DDR", [sister] a bit skeptical)
[Sister]- "..."
Young Girl- "See? We're playing!"
~~~~~~~~~
Now, from here, I would just cry because the mother seems to have no power over her kids. [Sister], who seems a bit older, seems to pick up on what's going on. But what happens after replenishes my hope for humanity... a bit.
~~~~~~~~~
(Demonstration ends)
Mom- 'You see, you were never playing, Goof ball. It said 'Demonstration!' Come on, let's go! You don't even know how the game works."
(Mom laughs, I laugh, Mom sees me laughing, we nod.)
Young Girl- "Auugh!" _________________

wow, there's a thread about this? Well, things that really annoy me:
1. Person you're playing against uses the bar and gets a higher score, and everyone thinks he did better because he A's the song and I get a B.
2. People who outwardly *LaUgH* at you while you're playing and think you look ridiculous. This has happened to me more than once.
3. Guys trying to impress their damn girlfriends or groups of friends doing things on light and finishing them with a B or C.
4. Daikenkai.
5. I go up, finish, and someone goes up and outwardly says that they can best me, causing me to possibly get nervous and screw up my combo or even fail the song when the pad probably already sucks and I'm trying to concentrate on combatting that. Then, after I finish they go and make themselves look better by doing songs on standard but put them on reverse or x1.5, and most of all, using the bar.
6. When people take a machine that you have clearly been waiting for... 3 TIMES.
7. Of course, pads that suck, and seeing a coffee right on the dance pad that can spill any moment. And people wonder why these things happen.
Hooray for my daily rant! _________________

If you think you're actually better, use the bar and see if you can get that A!

LOL then I come in and A (or even AA) it on Heavy! Then all the ladies are MINE. |

yyeah, i know i could but i don't like the bar(personally) because it's just not enough of a challenge. And actually the one time this annoyed me most was on HVAM Heavy, I used the bar and he didn't and we got the same score but his was like a few points higher so i kinda typoed cuz we both got B's. I did Max 300 on bar and it was just too easy. So yeah. Also, (trying not to get off topic so could just one person maybe answer this) doesn't using the bar look and feel a little awkward for short people like me?

Ha ha, so true. I've actually done this a few times, then the couple or group of friends mysteriously disappear. _________________
