Feet or Controller?

Some people use a standard console controller to play DDR and some use their feet. Just trying to find out which is most popular.

For me I use feet unless I can't beat the song/challenge in which case i use controller.

If you're asking about console play styles, wouldn't this go in the Console Games board?

Anyway, I don't have a decent pad for the PS2 or XBox, so I use controller on those. However, for XBox 360's Universe series, I tend to favor a pad, but I don't completely neglect the controller.

I stopped using the controller a while ago when I realized StepMania was better, so I'd say feet. Even though I very rarely play home versions anymore.

I only play my edits with a controller, but there was ~ a year that I didn't have a decent pad, so I pretty much had to play with a controller then.

I play SM a lot more now, but my graphics card is horrible, so I still play home versions once in a while.

i just don't like soft home pads, and i don't want to spend the money, nor make the effort to acquire a decent metal pad.

I never use the controller. I tried it once and pretty much thought it was dumb (just not fun for me). But then again I play (or used to) a lot of StepMania, which I like a lot. Also now that I can beat pretty much every song on my feet I find it a lot more fun.

I don't even play DDR at home anymore. I like the arcade better.

Controller, since playing at home on pad isn't fun. I like the arcade feel much more.

I only play SM now though.

I don't play with the Playstation controller as much as I formerly did now that I am getting better with the pad. A friend of mine and his brother actually had more trouble with the controller than they did with the pad although my friend didn't actually try the pad. The disadvantage about arcade play is that it costs money.

I only use the Xbox controller when it's almost bedtime (don't want to sweat after taking my shower) or when I can't or don't want to move. Otherwise, I always use the pad (90% of the time).
