The amount of energy you can conserve also depends on the condition of the machine you play on. The machine I play on has been through a lot of play, so I have to hit the arrows a little bit harder. They also removed the innermost sensors to stop setting off random arrows, which makes stuff like Determinator and One More Lovely even more difficult because I have to pick my feet up higher and come down with a greater force.

I can't for the life of me figure out why people are listing July as a mid-11 song. The song has very long streams and requires fast foot speed. It has more tap steps than most of the 12 footers!

I'm just gonna list 12's and 13's

Passing (in no particular order)

Easy 12: VerTex, Tell, Go 60 Go
Medium 12: Euphoria, Delirium
Hard 12:Determinator, Hardcore of the North

! isn't a 12 on ITG pc. It's not very hard anyways. VerTex is more of a 10 than anything. If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was Kyle or Chris who said "It's not much of a 12 anymore, really." Or something along the lines of that. Euphoria is pretty easy to BS, as is determinator and Tell.

13's VerTex^2, Summer, Pandamonium.

Honestly, I wouldn't consider V2 much of a 13, I personally think most of the 12's are harder. Summer isn't too bad at first, but those streams at the end will kill you. Pandamonium is just plain insane.

Scoring

Easy 12: Delirium, VerTex
Medium 12: Hardcore of the North, Go 60 Go, Tell
Hard 12: Euphoria, Determinator

I've almost gotten a 90 on VerTex and Delerium, which for me is monumentle. Hardcore of the North is fast but the steps are kind of simple and go with the music well. Euphoria and Determinator are just plain a doggy to get a decent score on.

13's VerTex^2 is only hard to score becuase of it's buttocks retarded stepchart. Summer isn't to bad to score on except for that bit with the jumps. Pandy is kind of hard to FA but only becuase of the jump steps at the begining, that and, well, IT'S FRICKIN' HARD!!!

That's my list, and it doesn't really matter. I just wish kyle or someone "official" would just do something like this themselves just to get people (like me) to just finally shut up about it. Oh well....

Woops, forgot about those. I'd call them mid 12's

Everyone seems to miss the fact that there's a few important things to remember when rating difficulties like this, although it was mentioned once or twice and promptly ignored: Everyone has their own playing style, which lends to specific strengths and weaknesses in different areas. It is because of this I'm simply going to name the major areas. I'm not going to bother making up 6 different lists:

Stamina Players vs FA Players
Bad at Crossovers vs Good at Crossovers
Good at Slowdowns/Speed Changes vs Speed Demons

Where are the Hard (as opposed to Expert) 10's and 11's on this list? Where would you rank Energizer, Pandemonium and VerTex^2 on Hard?

Energizer Hard seems harder than Max 300, so I would consider that a high 10 after seeing someone better than me going through it. I haven't seen V^2 or Pandy Hard in action, though. I have only one low 10 pass to my name, myself - D-Code.

Pandy Hard is problably a medium or hard 11. The stream in the middle is pretty much the same as Expert wich makes it hard. I don't know about V2 though...

In my opinion, Determinator is the 2nd easiest 12, behind Delirium to pass. Why do you all think it's so hard to pass?

I don't think it's that hard to pass, just hard to get a decent score on. The stream is crazy though, and it doesn't help that I'm fat (220 lbs.).

Yeah, I think it's easy to pass, but really hard to get above an S+.

Edit: Actually, in order from easiest to hardest to pass:
Delirium
!
Go 60 Go
Determinator
Vertex
Tell
Energizer
Euphoria
Hardcore of the North
Bloodrush

In my opinion.

i'd put determinator under vertex but other than that the list looks pretty good to me

On second thought, I think Energizer is harder to pass than Euphoria, although it may be less tiring. But I agree with Vertex.

ONLY passing:
Delirium
!
Go 60 Go
Vertex
Determinator
Tell
Euphoria
Energizer
Hardcore of the North
Bloodrush

I like the point that some have raised regarding variance among players and situations, and I'll add my two cents.

I feel the machine has a huge difference. I regularly transfer between playing upgrades and dedi's, and find that it substantially changes the game. Then, taking a look down, I realize that there's probably a physical reason for this- lower screws and elevated pads, which means leveraging one's feet more, or at least rocking them with more energy. Add to the fact that dedicabs are reported to be more sensitive.

Delirium and any song with extended runs become MUCH more complicated on an upgrade. So does Euphoria. A lot of the energy saving methods on these songs become less trivial. I won't make a list, but it may be worth taking into account.

I commend the author of the "scientific analysis," and think this type of tool is great for high-level players. But being a grad student in math I daresay I found the overcomplication of basic math very amusing.
