what's the best metal pad I can get for around 150 bucks (or less preferably)?

Best metal pad for $150 would be one for sale on the marketplace here. You could potentially get a cobalt flux for $150 local pick up.

for that price range you could get a tx-(whatever #) and just replace the foil with sheet metal.

if you do that. do it as soon as you get it so that you dont corrode the wiring from playing.

the better idea is the BNS DX Extreme Foam Pads. I got my first one around 1.5 years ago and it still works perfectly and picked up a second one last august. Best pads i've ever owned by far, and i think the only way to break them from normal use is by stepping on the control box. i can't reccomend these pads more, the sensitivity, durability, and price are all amazing.

i had two BNS DX fusions until one of their ps2 ports died. that pad still works fine on PC via USB but I can no longer play it on my ps2 (which is how i prefer to play my DDR). this is actually the reason why i'm asking for a cheap metal pad, hoping it'll be more durable lol
