Best metal pad for $150 would be one for sale on the marketplace here. You could potentially get a cobalt flux for $150 local pick up. _________________

for that price range you could get a tx-(whatever #) and just replace the foil with sheet metal.
if you do that. do it as soon as you get it so that you dont corrode the wiring from playing. _________________

the better idea is the BNS DX Extreme Foam Pads. I got my first one around 1.5 years ago and it still works perfectly and picked up a second one last august. Best pads i've ever owned by far, and i think the only way to break them from normal use is by stepping on the control box. i can't reccomend these pads more, the sensitivity, durability, and price are all amazing.

also, the sparkles attract the ladies, which is why i have those! |

i had two BNS DX fusions until one of their ps2 ports died. that pad still works fine on PC via USB but I can no longer play it on my ps2 (which is how i prefer to play my DDR). this is actually the reason why i'm asking for a cheap metal pad, hoping it'll be more durable lol |
