Yes. PM me if you are serious.

Have you looked at devout's Stealth pad yet? I'm willing to bet that you two used very similar designs.

I designed the DT600's to be the cheapest decent pad possible and they still cost around $45 to build + $20 for control boxes.

I looked at the Stealth, I don't think there is much similarity actually. It's more similar to Stoli's pad without any of the sheet metal.

Yes, it's a Gamestop pad duct-taped to a Staples "economy" chair mat. It actually works really well, and keeps it from sliding all over the carpet. laugh.gif

Heres mine, which I've been slowly working on for a few weeks now. The arrows are perfectly playable and is rather sensitive as well as I have continuous contacts all the way round the arrow.

Still got to add start/select, X, O and slide switches to switch between L1, L2, R1, R2 ( for Stepmania) and directional pad (for PS2 Dancing Stage). Also lights will be added when I figure out how to wire up Frosty555's lighting diagram. Hopefully a border will be made at a later date when I get everything working.

Sorry for the poor image, I had to use a very basic and old digital camera as my mum took my proper one to Hong Kong over Christmas. I'll post a better one when I get my cam back in the next few days. Yes, I know my computer room is a trip hazard at the moment laugh.gif

Yeah sure, I'll get a photo of the arrow well tomorrow. Its basically my original idea (design 2 (I had a thread a couple of weeks ago)) using 6mm continuous copper tapes.

The contact bridge is heavy duty aluminium foil mounted on mousemat, in a very similar way to Riptide's, however as its a soft contact, the arrows are vitually silent when pressed apart from the sound of your foot hitting the arrows. Riptide's one sounds like someone hammering a nail!

Edit: Or do you mean the switches between L1,L2, R1,R2 and directional arrows? E19.gif

Here is the wiring diagram for the switches. You will need to buy the "double pole double throw" type. Single pole double throw will work the same way, but you will need four instead of two switches.

The idea was from Frosty555's pad which he built for his girlfriend (thread somewhere!... but not bothered to find it) It took me about 10 minutes to figure out the wiring. I just had to draw out the circuit diagram on paper and attempt to trace it. It wasnt so obious at first. As you might have known, the advantages of using the L1, L2, R1, R2 buttons for PC is that you wont have the USB adaptor problem where it refuses to recognise two arrow presses at the same time. It works like a treat.

The circuit diagram 9currently switched to the PC position (L1, L2, R1, R2)

The actual switches

The sensors

Super sexy shiny pad goooo!

It uses matrix sensors. Right now the down arrow is acting iffy, but otherwise it's great!

FirstClass, thanks a bunch; thats all i needed...im so stupid i cant believe i didnt think of that

i have 2 different adapters, and both provide the axis mapping problem, which is why i just want to add the switch idea, instead of ordering a new adapter

OrangeJuice, thats basically my pad minus the bar and decals laugh.gif

Your welcome E1.gif Dont worry, your not stupid. Its not so obvious at first and its near impossible to imagine it inside your head (my brain nearly blew up one evening laugh.gif). It only becomes clear when its on paper.

I just use the blue triangular dilong adaptor with stepmania.
