Um, yea... i stopped playing DDR for sometime then i am trying to get in to it again, but my BNS metal pad isn't working right. When i try to use it none of the buttons register at all connected to my EMS converter it usually show buttons and what is active when i test out and press an arrow and usually show a pic of the type of controller...but now it does not show up at all and none are working when i press an arrow, and that is when i was using my PS2 converter to PC. I do have a usb plug but i never use it cause it just does not work. But anyway, i was hoping the usb could work, i mean really i was giving it a shot... then a message popped up that i have not recognized it said "usb is malfunctioning" and some other gibberish. I know i didn't get that before when i first got it so i am guessing it shot to heck now.

Ok, to make it kinda short... i think my control box is messed up. Does anyone know if i can get a different and better quality one or i just have a giant paperweight?

Any generic metal control box should work. What pad do you have? I purchased a control box from the Cobalt Flux website, but it should work on any pad. In fact, it impressed me as being very generic, as if CF decided to sell someone else's control box. The control box I received is USB/Xbox/PS2 compatible. It works great with Stepmania and, of course, there is no lag.

This is my pad when i first got it, right now it is all taped up cause the return warrenty is out and i don't really want to pay to ship it back to get it fixed... but looks pretty much like that just masking tape all around its sides.

Here is my control box, nothing special and it is not working at all in my opinion.

When i first connect it in after i don't know how long it saw the controller and all, but when i press a button i get no response at all. Only the up arrow worked... once and a few, but after all that some buttons froze and stopped working... then i took everything out and replug the wires to my comp it did not see the pad anymore and i reset 2 times after and it detect nothing. So, now i am guessing the control box is messed up.
