I imagine the commercial edition is mostly just more robust, to stand up to more usage in a setting where multiple people will regularly be using it.

I have a question about the blueshark bar. How is it in relation to the bar on an arcade pad? Is it taller, thinner? It looks both to me in the pics, but I can't be sure.

Will I have to end up making my own bar? If so, I might as well go for the new 2" edition. If the arcade bar and blueshark bar are similar enough, I'll just go with the 3" w/bar.

Can anyone help?

First,

The bar is thinner and is a little loose, but can be tightened really good.

Second,

If you have time to build a way better exact replica of the itg bar then go for it, for me, its not worth the time because it just wont be better than the real itg pad, so I didnt do it because the blueshark is very well qualified to satisfy the customer straight out of the box. The sensitivity is the best part, bar is good enough that it doesnt really matter if its a little loose.

No idea. They told me last week they'd have some soon...I'm guessing soon is a really loosely defined word. I'm trying to get em to swap in with a new 2" and a bar instead of the 3" w/bar I ordered.

People still buy BlueSharks? I bought mine in June, and it lasted 3 months. Yes, 3 months. My RedOctane Ignition 3.0 has lasted me 8 months, by comparison. I might have just been unlucky, I don't know. But my BlueShark
is now a $500 paperweight. They did send me shipping label to ship it back, but I don't know where to get a big enough box. I got the 3 inch version, if that helps. On the bright side, MyMyBox has really improved their customer service. When I bought my BlueShark, the customer service sucked. They barely ever answered the phone, and were of no help. But now, they almost always answer the phone, and are happy to help you out. Even my dad, who thought the customer service was "the worst I've ever seen", agrees that they improved by a lot.

For a pad this defiantly looks to be my best bet.
Could someone clear up and summarise the other pads?

If not, direct where someone can please.
Thanks!

I've been through all 48 pages of this thread and many before it researching metal pads, but no one has really settled on a dead set best pad for any specific category.

I have two TX2000's in the mail at the moment though I slightly regret ordering them now. I've looked into the Blueshark 3" w/bar and the new black nexan, both of which are beautiful, but as with many pads in my travels I have learned that looks aren't everything. I'm looking for two accurate pads that will last a long time, remain sturdy and durable, include a good bar, allow easy doubles and have replaceable parts. From looking at CF, BS, and the Nexens, It is becoming more and more apparent that the Blueshark's are well built, sturdy, durable, and accurate, their only worrying con is the flimsy bar, however it is rumored that this can be fixed simply by tightening it, is this true?

Also, the nexens SEEM well built, but of the three pads (CF, BS, Nexen) which lasts the longest and which is easiest and cheapest to repair back to new?

Thank you for your time and reading.

well i own a tx2000. its not really "arcade accurate" if it take care of it it'll last a while though. i played on a CF before, dont like it much. its too low for me and it feels odd to me. i want a blueshark but they're out of stock but from what ive heard blueshark is the way to go for arcade quality

If you don't mind my asking, for roughly how long have you had your tx2000 and how often is it used?

I've had my blueshark a few weeks now(3" w/ bar) playing almost all 11s+ and i havent gotten a single pad miss, way off, or decent.

the bar has gotten a bit wobbly, but they included a wrench for tightening it, so it's no big deal.

overall i give it 2 thumbs up, and it's well worth the cash.

if anyone wants, i can post some Supernova Home Version scores as a dem.

I own the blueshark for 7 months! it still works, bar can be tightened but it is no big deal, the best bar is the arcade, if you want that then build it yourself with the 2 inch blueshark, blueshark is the best IMO.

Umm... are they ever going to come out with a new 2" edition w/bar? Or will I be forced to choose between the new 2" edition and the 3" w/bar? It'd be nice if I could have my cake and eat it too, though I have a feeling it won't be happening. blink.gif
