I'm new to the forum's, so please don't bash me.

I'm thinking about buying a metal DDR pad since i'm sick and tired of soft pads and want a true arcade experience.

So i have 3 questions:
1.What's the best metal pad out there right now??
2.how much does it cost??
and 3.where can i find it???

1. Check MyMyBox's Blue Shark or Colbat Flux. Those two have gotten the most attention for metal pad durability and performance.

2. Last I checked over $300. I mean, these are the serious business pads.

3. Google Cobalt Flux and MyMyBox (separately of course because these are two different websites). Their sites are the first results.

That could depend on what you want. If you really want arcade feel you might want to go for MyMyBox, but if you want something that's super durable then go for Cobalt Flux, though I can't really say for sure since I've never actually played on either one though. CF uses lexan panels, and my homebuilt pad has lexan panels too and they won't break even from hitting it with a hammer (though I really recommend that you don't do that....)

blueshark=$300 without a bar, or $400 with a bar
blueshark=true arcade sensors (2 per arrow), thick plexiglass arrows, most arcade like, 2 or 3 inches thick

cobalt flux=$300 without a bar, can order the arcade mod for more money, only about 1.5 inches thick, NOT arcade-like.

i have played on both, and i like the blueshark more.
this is because i am more for the arcade-feel of the pad

the flux has no border around it, it seems slightly smaller than the true arcade pads, and the sensors are different.
however, the person's pad i played on loves the CF, and says it does take a while to get used to it, but its good for him.

I have a Blueshark, and I love it. It isn't exactly like the arcade, getting that in a homepad is next to impossible, but it's very nice nonetheless, and it's definitely the most arcade-like of metal pads available. It's extremely sensitive (doing holds with your fingers is no problem), and it feels quite solid. I don't see it breaking any time in the future.

In short, I'd highly recommend a Blueshark.
