Just finished it a couple days ago.
i followed this (http://www.stepmania.com/boards/viewtopic.php?=&p=10668) bar mod, but adjusting different pieces to my likings . I just went to home depot, and they had all of the pipes precut, and i just grabbed em off the shelf. a worker came over and asked me what i was doing, showed him my plans, and he actually helped me assemble it in store, and he helped me adjust pipes to my height.
if anyone cares on the base mod i did, i will get some pictures of steps for that.

the two top pieces are actually just sitting there, so i can take the pad out.

Very nice! I was just gonna ask about modding a CF so you saved me some time, hehe.
