Dj max portable

does anyone have this game? if so do you like and is it worth getting?

I have the first one, but I don't have the second.

If you're not familiar with the PC version, which is the original (online and all), you'll probably have tons of fun with the 1st DMP. A bunch of songs from the original DJMAX PC launch and the Volume 2 PC launch and a few exclusive remixes and songs. Only downside is the unlock process is a bit involved and lengthy, but you can always download a gamesave for it

. If you are familiar with the PC version, the lasting impression for the first DMP won't be too long (I got a bit bored of it after a month or two).

Now whether you are familiar with the PC version or not, I highly recommend the second. A lot of the higher quality songs from DJMAX appear in this version, along with a sort of append mode for the original DMP (although not all songs are available, it's called "link mode"), then there's a shitload of CS exclusives and remixes. Again, the unlock system is involved, yet not as tedious as the first because of all the speed unlocks you can get (think of DDR Extreme JP combined with a newer IIDX CS release). The downside is it does stray away from the original DJMAX concept (holds continue combos like in PIU, announcers, interface overhaul, etc.), so this may be a turnoff if you're a PC player.

They're both not too expensive either (around $50).

do you think i will be able to find them at a local gamestop or do you think i would have to order them online due to how rare i here they are?

djmax portable one is a bit harder to find than 2
i think play-asia carries both

i own both and being able to play the DMP 1 songs on 2 is awesome
i hope they bring a 3rd one out

IMO i think the original one has a better song selection than 2 overall
but 2 have alot more songs and a better interface

id say if you were unfamiliar with any of the songs check out 1 first to get you hooked
then seek out the second one

So is it worth getting? I mean, how are the songs, which will be the biggest selling factor to me. I've seen videos on G4's Cinematech: Nocturnal Emissions & most were just "meh" to me.
