A really dumb question make fun of me

Uh. This is REALLY dumb question and make fun of me if you have to.

Uh is there any step maker thing that I can load the mp3 and what not, then play the song but make the arrows up as the song goes. I don't like manually placing them and stuff. It's fun to make stuff up as you go.

I've always wished such a program existed. But unfortunately it doesn't, and you have to do it the long, painful way.

Besides, having that sort of program would make it really easy to mess up and get the song out of sync.

Yes actually. When you're placing the arrows in Step Mania, just set your cursor to eight notes or sixteenth notes (depending on the greatest amount of accuracy you want), highlight a specific area using space bar, then space bar again, then hit "Enter" and "Record" or something. I haven't done it in so long, but this should be a good shove in the right direction.
