I was just wondering if anyone has actually passed the harder(35+)/hardest songs in pop'n on a mini. I've had my controller for 3-4 days and I can do up to 30/31s (some 30s still murder me, and some upper 20s though), but doing anything much higher seems hard/not possible unless its mostly chords, due to the size of the controller.

I'm pretty much forced to use my fingers for a lot of things and was wondering, does the larger controller allow you to hit certain patterns (ie, fast stream such as in melt hyper and up) easier than the mini?

Ya mean a home version? The hardest I can do is a 28 or 30 song on Pop'n 9. But I haven't played as much. It IS harder to do it w/ a smaller Pop'n controller (I'm gonna see if I can take the one I bought & mod it into an arcade-style one).

It just takes practice. Back when I had a mini before my ASC, I got all the way up to 41s, and passed one 43. Now I can't play on the mini, simply because I'm used to the ASC, but if you gave me a week or so to get used to it again, I can think of many of the songs that I have yet to pass on ASC that would be ridiculously easier to pass on a mini, such as Inscrutable Battle, Classic 11, Lamento, etc

Besides, it's just boring playing on a mini anyway. It's basically 9 key IIDX without scratching.

I dont think I could pass half of the 37's and 38's that I do with a regular sized controller. I couldnt imagine myself spending that much money on one either.

cowboy EX becomes a 40 with a mini
seriously if you play on an ASC or at the AC the mini con will jump you up probably 5 levels or more

i dont know how much it hurts/helps if you started on a mini
