Tenchi... you're cutting it close, but you may just. I'd say it's a good chance. _________________

I would pretty much guarantee it, as they are getting closer to being caught up. It all depends on the vendors. As long as the vendors get back to normal levels or at least stick at this one, it's very likely. |

Just a heads up for everyone. Cobalt Flux and MMB both typically have a massive crash around the beginning of November and their productivity and customer service goes to crap. If you want your pad before 2007's out, order within the next 5 or 6 weeks.
Oh, and I played on some neglected CF's all weekend, and have one thing to tell CF owners: USE 'EM OR LOSE 'EM. A Cobalt Flux will only break if it's allowed to sit unused, especially leaning against something, for extended periods of time. They should be stored flat and kept at room temperature, moderate humidity, and SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO COLLECT DUST. If you aren't going to use your Cobalt Flux for a few weeks, months, or years, Wrap them tightly in plastic and stick them under your bed; make sure there is no oil, water, or dirt anywhere on the pad before doing this. _________________

Crap.
Then this is why my up arrow is not working.
Got it to work last night, then woke up and tried to play and the arrow was barely reading (I can't tell if it's freezing or just not responding). *sigh* _________________

I think not. Am still waiting on mine and it's been 68 days. My guess is doubles take double the time... lol |
We were waiting on ours and some guy who had ordered a doubles kit for his son's birthday got his within a few weeks of ordering. |

I don't care if you guys see me as a whiner for this, but I'm very angry with the delays from CF now. Moreso than before. Three weeks ago, they promised me it would be shipping out Wednesday the 15th. They didn't. I talked to them again to find out why. Call me an "email spammer", but when a company I pay $350 to gives me false information, I like to find out why. They then promised me it would be shipping Wednesday the 22nd. Once again, it did not.
I emailed them one last time, and they swore to me that it would be shipping out Wednesday the 29th. Guess what? I just found out that it didn't. They didn't send me any tracking numbers on Wednesday, so I was praying that they just forgot to or were too lazy to update the information or something. Nope. They actually didn't ship it. This morning I woke up thinking "YES! If they shipped it Wednesday like they said they would, it should come in today!"
...
And then, just now, I get all my hope crushed by finally receiving my tracking number. It just got sent to UPS. JUST now.
I honestly pity everybody that's going to have to deal with CF when they order. I'm glad I got the pad, but I hope I never have to deal with them again. Some may say "It's worth the wait", but really, when the wait is a whole month longer than they promised, you have to wonder.
Their pads rock. Their customer service (I experienced a horrible lack of replies from both email and phone) and speed (10 weeks, when the website says 6 tops is the normal wait) however, suck. Horribly.
My suggestion? If you really want a CF, look elsewhere. Check eBay, Craiglist, or the Marketplace. Just look somewhere else. If you really can't find one, place an order with CF, but don't expect your pad for 2-3 months. Keep checking other websites for CFs, though... and if you see one, cancel your order with CF and go for that one instead. Sound rude? Nah, they'll just give your CF to the next person. That's why they made their order system that way.
That's my opinion, and it's not gonna change unless the pad is faulty... then it will be a worse opinion. I normally wouldn't care for delays... but with $350 on the line, you bet I'm gonna be on CF if they treat me poorly as a customer. Well, I guess that, and the fact that I didn't receive a single apology for the delays. Ever. It's like they didn't care. _________________

Unscrew the panels, and then there should be a piece of cardboard between the sensors. Take that out, and the center panel becomes R1. _________________

So, if I wanted to disable square and triangle, I could just put a piece of cardboard in there, right? I'm sick of ending the game on accident (I was used to putting one foot on what is now triangle because of the Flux, while in Menus. |

I'm with you there. It's been 10 days since the 'awaiting shipment' appeared, I asked for a tracking # never got it. One evasive reply and one non-reply later, I get my number via Quantum View. Scheduled for delivery on the 10th (Monday). If the shipment stays on time then it'll be 74 days total for me.
And since my doubles are coming in two pacakges.... I wonder if they went ahead and installed the arcade mods after I specifically told them not to, and they promised they wouldn't. That would be a total bummer.... if Agent24's experience is any indication. _________________

Then, those arrows will all be slightly raised, making navigation on the pad much easier. _________________

Yeah, I'd actually prefer if it weren't raised. I already removed the arcade mod panel from the center because it made it harder to play. |

Alright, but consider that the arcade mod raises the panels a lot more than cardboard would.
I'd suggest you go with standard paper then. Cut the two corners, and then you can still used triangle and square at the back of the panels if you need to. _________________

I would have removed the arcade mod entirely, except that CF didn't include any shorter screws to replace the others, or normal panels to cover that area. They just glued the arcade mod panels down and screw them on. |
