UPS would only email you if you had already registered with them for notification and provided your tracking number.

Yes, but before peeling the mtal panels off, remember to unscrew the screws(duh.)

Cracks? are you talking about the cracks in the woodem base? there are holes in the base that the wires go into, but if sweat goes into there, it shouldnt be a problem.

The only other crack i can think of is the gap between panels, but once you remove it, youll see its not really a gap../.

I think I will be even happier than geeeuknitt and kirbyrocks when they will receive their pad. At least they will stop to spam the forum and cf mail and phone about when their pad will come. Guys please just be patient and stop whining every hour about your pad status.

I mind if you would cry if the UPS employee eat 5 min longer on lunch time. Your pad would come 5 min later ... Damn, call UPS, CF, government, United nations and post in forum to tell us about that injustice !!!

hrm. maybe it's just a typo on their website? Maybe their delivery time isn't supposed to be 4 to 6 weeks, but 4 to 6 months. Amazing how those typo's can cause so much trouble. biggrin.gif

ok. seriously. That is a long time to wait for a product that has a 4 to 6 week delivery stated.

Some people are waiting patiently and referring to this topic for info or for troubleshooting. It might be hard to receive that if their post is knocked off the page by 5 or 10 subsequent whiny posts.

Your excessive use of hyperbole and keen "wit" utterly astound me. Alexandrecc, I love you.

I mean, it's so wrong to politely email a company that has spent 3 weeks more than they were supposed to in supplying me with my $350 purchase. Waiting a full three days when they said to only wait two hours? Absolutely horrible of me! I should be ashamed! frown.gif

To set the record straight, people: I have sent a total of two emails this past week. One received a response, one did not. I guess I'm really spamming up their email, eh? And I personally have NEVER gotten ahold of Ivory via phone. My dad has.

The fact that they have taken a total of 21 days and counting more than they told me they would gives me every reason in the world to be upset. I'm disappointed in the lack of response I'm getting from CF, and I'm not afraid to say it. I feel bad for Ivory, though, which is why I am not rude to her in any way, shape, or form.

I think they frick up... I received another set of trackings for two pads from UPS (and by the way UPS can send an initial email with trackings if asked for by the sender) ... the thing is I already got my pads.

I emailed them thursday evening to give them a chance to cancel the package (it was only registered at that timme by UPS)
but as of today its in transit...

thing is I live in Canada so I do pay quite a lot of brokerage fees etc....

two options, I refuse the pads or I pay the brokerage fee and I resell the two pads...

This actually does explain something, and that's why you received your doubles pads so early.

It's in transit? Well, if I remember correctly you ordered your kit on July 12th, so this is the time you would be receiving it anyway. I think they goofed up and sent you someone else's order early on.

Just a thought. Maybe not, though.

Alderaic where do you exactly live ? I am in Montreal. If you are not so distant, I could pick up one of your pads. I would pay the exact same price you paid. I would cancel my CF command on the site.

Yeah, they accidentally sent you two extra pads, looks like they screwed up with us too. CF had said long ago that payment was received. My mom looked online, and the credit card wasn't charged.

EDIT: I've removed the arcade mod's center panels because I hated them. It's easier for me to play with a level surface like my old pad had. I've been playing stuff, but I'm getting Goods and Almosts which appear to becoming from my left or down arrow. And sometimes it looks like holding my down arrow makes the left one rapid fire, though I don't see this in menus, so I'm a bit confused. Alot of people say the pad just needs to be broken is. Is this problem with Goods and Almosts going to go away? I'm not entirely sure if it has to do with the left triggering randomly. But it's definitely doing something. Alot of times it triggers shortly after I step on it. I think I might need to send it in. I tried adjusting and loosening the screws. It made it trigger a little less, but it still does. I'm pretty sure it's not my playing, as I can beat Xuxa with relative ease on my other pad.

My dad checked his credit card balance; they definitely removed it for my CF already. That's really weird, Agent. I hope you figure out the problem. frown.gif

As for your pad's issues... did it happen before you removed the arcade mod? If not, then it may have to do with accidentally hitting one of the corner buttons, causing arrows to ghost. If that's not the case, then it's one of three things.

1. It's got a problem and needs to be shipped back for analysis and repair.
2. The pad just needs to be broken in, as you said.
3. Your feet are not adjusted to playing on the CF yet.

Those are really the only three things that could be going on.

Well, no, I only removed the mod from the center panel. I couldn't remove it from the corners because the panels were glued down and there aren't any panels under there, just the sheet metal. I didn't want to leave it bare. If I had gotten a clear and smooth mod I would have been able to just remove them all. And I had problems with it before I took the mod off.

I don't think I would be hitting the corner panels because I wasn't used to the CF. My feet don't even come close to the corner panels when I play anyway. It never happened on my Blade, so I don't think it would be happening on this mat. Bare in mind that the corner panels with the arcade mod require very forceful presses to activate.

BTW, one of the things I forgot to mention is that on the control box the select button is on the right side and the start button is on the left. This is unusual from other mat's control box design and pisses me off because it makes me make mistakes constantly.

Man, that is a confusing situation. You should probably shoot an email to CF. I'd say "clean it", but you just got it... so it shouldn't be in need of it already. Was it doing this when you received it at all? Or did it just start up recently?

As for the Cbox, thanks for the tipoff. That's strange... you'd think they'd go with the normal design that even softpads do and put Start on the right.

Agent 24: Do you have the corner buttons disabled during gameplay (Dance Play Settings set to off)? It's surprisingly easy to trigger the corner buttons during gameplay on a CF, with or without an arcade mod, and you're pretty much guaranteed to get Goods and Almosts if you don't disable the corner buttons (especially if you play flatfooted).

Also, you'd probably get used to the center panel if you left it on. When I first got my CFs, I sucked. But I kept playing and it wasn't long before I was used to the arcade mod.

I need to thank you, Agent, for actually mentioning this in the thread. I've been lurking on this thread, because I'm going on 9 weeks with no doubles yet. Anyway, I've emailed CF AND updated the comments section on my order page, to tell them to NOT ship the pads with the mods installed. That it was 'a just in case' purchase. And they said they wouldn't. I would calll them and 'demand' the proper panels, since you did PAY for them, and the arcade mod was extra, too. It's not like they gave you a discount on your pad. So they shouldn't cheat you out of 4 panels and 4 decals. frown.gif For as much money as we pay for these things, they should have the decency to update our order pages, answer our emails, and keep us up-to-date if something unforseeable happens, and they can't get our pads done in time.

I'm totally am bummed out about CF.... and I also keep telling myself, that it'll be worth it once I got them and am playing on them. erm.gif Shoot, for as long as they're taking I could have built my own. LOL

I am with you there. I wouldn't mind so much if it were cheaper, but we're talking more than I make in a month here.
