For some reason, In the Groove now crashes when it reaches the "Now Loading" screen. All my other games and burned games still work.

what could be the problem?

I have a slimline PS2 w/ fliptop lid, and the disk is not scratched up to my knowledge to the point where it would just not work.

I am using the original disk.

There might be some very minor scuffing, but it isn't any worse than my DDRMAX2 disk, which runs perfectly.

Last time I tried hacking, the DVDs I used were crap, so no hack for me. frown.gif

Load the game without the memory card. if it works, go into options and load the file. then go into game options and make sure the default song sort isn't Topgrade. If it is, change it to something else.

Sometimes it will go as far as asking me if I want to cancel the game loading, but once I select no, as in load the game, it stops working.

good thing I have the game ripped to an external drive.

try deleting your file, it should work after that (then you can use the unlock code)

If this works, then it's not the disc itself, it's the Topgrade Bug

if it doesn't work, then it's the disc.

more like

start the game without your memory card in, not delete your save

I did both tactics, no mem card. and deleting my save.

I still have the same problem.

I guess I should just burn myself another copy, since I ripped the game beforehand to work on hacks.

well, if nothing else will work, just download the game and then burn it.

Odd, yesterday I wiped the disk off and put it in the PS2 not expecting it to work, but surprisingly, it DID! Strange.

I don't think Roxor knew what they were doing when they first made the PS2 version.

They even said something of the sort in the manual. riiight.gif
