i haven't posted in ddr chit-chat in the longest time...so flame me to the extreme if this is an old discovery.

i was recently digging through crates for some records and came accross this quincy jones record that the pharcyde sampled for "Passin Me By"...i then start listening to the track "summer in the city"....and around 1:59[on the youtube video] i heard something reeeeeally familiar. it happens again near the 3:00 mark. ...again, flame me if this is old.

the sample from the DDR theme song [at least on the older mixes..i haven't played in a while] was taken from quincy jones' summer in the city...which also happens to be the source material for a number of other songs out there.
