Also,
People care too much. So what if you hate ITG? It doesn't effect me or anyone else (apparently). That's his opinion.

Opinion-statement that demonstrates what you feel or think about something that isn't true.

(Dictionary lol)

So don't say you hate ITG unless you think people will agree with you.

At the moment, no one agrees with you, and everyone disagrees with you.

You posted "I hate ITG" in the In The Groove forum (dumbass) so now, everyone hates you.

You're not going to change ppl minds about DDR either.

It doesn't work like this:

You: "I hate ITG!" (standing next to ITG machine)

Me: (waiting to play ITG) "You know, I just realized that I hate ITG too, I'm going to play DDR instead."

So go post in the DDR Chit-Chat forum and discuss this with other ppl who may or may not share your opinion.

That's such a contradiction. I actually posted in the right section! If it's about ITG, post in the ITG section. If I were to post this same topic in the DDR sections, I would get people saying that this topic sucks, AND that I posted in the wrong forum.

That's where you made the mistake, you posted as a name "I hate ITG" but we aren't talking about how much you hate ITG, instead we're talking about which is better, DDR or ITG?

Therefore, this thread should belong in the DDR Chit-Chat forum.

No, it isn't wrong. If games are only fun and relaxing to you if you take them seriously, so be it.

Great, now we're making progress. It turns out, and you have to be a serious player to realize this, that DDR isn't difficult for serious players. Essentially, the short explanation is that it only tests one skill (command) where ITG tests three skills (command, stamina, precision). It is, of course, possible to become better at DDR than any current player, but in order to do that the process is very dull and mundane (essentially, you have to memorize how much each individual song is offsync and then you have to play the songs, a lot, over and over again to build command on them) compared to the process for becoming better at ITG (playing basically whatever songs you want while building physical stamina and accuracy).

Given that you accept that it is perfectly acceptable for players to want to play the game seriously, and given that you further accept the above claim (many serious players only find ITG fun) shouldn't you accept that for many serious players ITG is the better game to play?

First of all, if you're 20 and hanging out here, that's kind of sad, along with the fact that you're making those sarcastic remarks. And you're right, you're probably smarter than me, but that's because you're a little older than me, but that certainly doesn't mean you're more mature than me. And, alright, I'll finally admit that ITG may FACTUALLY be a better game to play, if you look at things closely, but that doesn't make the overall presentation, look, and feel of the game better than DDR. I've said this for years to people: in my games, presentation is more important to me than the game itself. You may call me a shallow gamer due to that statement, but that's a very big part of what I like in games. I look for games that are good AND have a good overall presentation, especially to people watching it, and DDR is definitely up there on my list. In SN, the fact that there's a 3D character dancing in the background gives it a lot of presentation, and it makes me feel cool when playing it, as if I'm dancing with the character. I don't feel like typing anymore.

You know, most people would see this as more pathetic than they would a number of young adults communicating in a manner more convenient than by a method that requires the exchange of phone numbers or meeting one another in person.

I'm 23. A great deal of posters here are over 18. Just because you probably barely make the cut-off doesn't mean you have more of a right to be here than anyone else.

You know what? You're right. Presentation is better than actual gameplay. That's what made Action 52 such a great game.

In response to your "Wow... and you thought a 20-year-old on a message board was sad...": you have to admit that having 3D dancing characters in the background is a cool thing, or at least cooler than not having any dancing characters. Don't you feel cool when playing when you see Jenny shacking her ass, or Rage doing backflips? I think it's awesome, and it adds to the enjoyment of the game. Also, I think 20+ year olds hanging out on forums is more weird than immature.

Actually, it's probably because I am a visionary genius whose intellect is usually put at roughly one in ten thousand.

Why shouldn't I lock this thread given this statement?

Oh, God. So much fail packed into one thread.

And you spelled "shaking" wrong.

OK I'm seriously starting to think this thread was a joke from the beginning. How can the OP contradict himself numerous times and still continue to post with a serious tone unless he's just playing a joke on us just to piss off ITG players? It does not compute. >_< crunchwrap, are you entirely serious in your opinions?

Crunchwrap: Does having Jenny "shack" her buttocks while you play stroke your ego and get you sexually excited and then frustrated when you realize that she's a 3D background character in DDR?

No.
NO.
The characters are annoying and I turn them off whenever I play. I've hated them since I first started playing and I always will. No one can convince me that DDR is superior simply because of stupid dancing characters.

And finally, you seem to admit that you hate ITG because you think it has superior gameplay?

He's dumb, don't bother.

And to this lolbusiness about characters, just shut up now. I'm sure you like it when jenny "shacks" her ass 400 BPM's to Fascination Maxx, making it look like she's having an epilectic fit. It's not "cool", but if you really think so, you should go to GaiaOnline and stop posting here, because i'm sure alot of the 11 year olds will agree with you on how "cool" the 3d characters are.
