Sorry for being late, but I don't have that problem anymore. They must have scared it into working again when I sent mine in, they said it worked fine for a whole half hour when they used it. When I got it back there was a lot of dirt on the sheet metal (more than there was when I sent it), so I cleaned it and after that it worked perfectly. _________________

I'll check at some other forums as well. | ITGFreak is my first suggestion. You might give the CF forums a shot too, but probably won't have much luck there. ebay's not something to rule out, but keep in mind that most sellers don't know what they're talking about when it comes to DDR pads, so avoid anything that seems to be going through a middle man. Make sure you're getting anything you buy from the original owner.
Also, there's a friend of mine in the Seattle area selling a Cobalt Flux, and I can vouch for the fact that it has been tested and works well. He was going to sell it for $165, but his parents wouldn't let him (he's 15). If you want to check that out, it's somewhere in the forum pnwbemani.net. Shouldn't be too hard to find. I don't know what his thoughts are on shipping. _________________

CF Forums are ghost. Only recent posts are me and an admin. I checked out the friend but it looks like he's taking pick up only. I will take a gander at ITGFreak. However, I'm wondering about my ability to get one now as my mom is voicing reluctance. She says that because I haven't had my first one get here I don't know that I'll like it and should wait. I doubt there's any chance I won't, unless my pad ends up defective, but whatever... I'll continue saving my money. I mean, reasonably, I'm nearly 18 and I can change my account and do whatever I want within a couple weeks. But still, I like to obey my parents within boundaries that make sense. These do from her stand point and the stand point of others who don't play DDR.
I also have found via ITGFreak the place that had those CF mats I wanted decals to match (Cool Looking CF), but from this video it looks like they have changed their design once again.

Looks like a little work in photoshop and a trip to Officemax would be able to get you a pad like that. It has the Black and Rough (lol pubic hair reference) arcade mod though, so make sure to adjust accordingly! _________________

Uhh, the forums are ghost because they're gone, right? How'd you get into them? I always get a PHP error. _________________

I don't have Photoshop and have very little experience with it. I tried to make something in MSPaint (I do MSPaint art sometimes) but surfaced with nothing very good. I do have a basic shape for the arrow if anyone wants to do me a solid and make one:
I would forever be indebted (though I never provided the sexual favors I promised on another forum in an election, so don't count on it). Anything I make in MSPaint is going to turn out horribly pixelated. The only way to make something not pixelated in MSPaint is to create something on a massive scale and then size it down.
The CF Forums moved to a different site, but it isn't linked on the main CF page and not that many people know about them, so it doesn't get much traffic.

Good luck. The earliest you'll get it is probably near the end of August, could take into September or even October. |

This was recent? I'm unsure when mine might come. It was kind of required to get here by Sunday, not gonna happen now. Plus, they don't update the status as often as they should because they don't have time, so the status you have isn't always up to date. I heard my mom talking to my aunt about a Fed Ex truck (meaning it could have came), but it's hard to tell.
The mat is a birthday present for me. |

Yeah. They were short of pad parts, but they got a shipment of those. Not sure if they would have ran out again. But alot of people waited for about a month because their pads were constructed but there were no control boxes. It's supposed to be taking longer because they're shipping the 360 compatible boxes now. Other people have called them and asked them to go ahead and ship it with an old control box and they did. That's an option if you don't care about 360 or PC support (the 360 port works with the computer is you download a driver). |

It's been exactly two weeks since I ordered my pad. About halfway through the normal wait. No idea how long it will take for the boxes though >_< _________________

Well, actually it's a 360 plug, not a USB plug so you download the drivers that make 360 controllers work on PCs. That said, I doubt it would work on a Mac because I don't think Microsoft would go out of their way to make a Mac driver. |

I don't think Microsoft made an official driver. When you install the driver, it just searches the USB ports for items that match Xbox 360 controllers and turns them into PC controllers, accessible at the "Game Controllers" area on the Control Panel.
I was able to find a Mac driver. I'm not sure if it's the right version for you though.

Delightfully random question:
I know a couple people here and done a "penny mod" to their CFs--that is, putting pennies strategically between the panel layers to increase their sensitivity. Does this actually change of the feel of the pad from a stepping standpoint at all? _________________

Yes, but don't do it, i repeat, DON'T DO IT. it will make dents in the sheet metal after a couple weeks and it will make the pad do crazy stuff, like randomly trigger arrows you are no where near stepping on, etc. |
