They're either worth well over 300 or they're unplayable. If you want to play it safe though, just build a homebrew. You can build a $500 pad for $150.

Are BNSUSA DX Fusion/Sparkle pads (the foam insert ones, that is) or whatever they're called from buynshop.com as good as everyone says they are? My Konami soft pad(that came bundled with Ex2)'s down arrow is going all wonky so I need a new one (or two), fast. I won't be able to live without DDR for long. ;; So, in other words, I really like the look of them and they're supposed to be very good, but is this worth the $165.90 USD (about $177.25 CDN right now) it'll cost to ship them to Canada? (the prices are good, it's the shipping that just...ouch.) And will they last long? (I have hardwood floors if that makes a difference)

would this be a good pad to get, I don't want a metal pad or thick pad, just a soft pad I can mod.

Hm...looks like the official Konami soft pad but with square and triangle buttons...I don't know if I would trust it, to be honest...xP;

Hi, I own DDR Extreme 2 and play on Heavy/Challenge. I like my RO Ignition 3.0 pad but I'm looking for a good, durable, arcade-like metal pad. I'm thinking of the BlueShark. But I have one question. Where's a trustworthy place to buy one without a bar? I've been looking on MyMyBox and other places and can't find one without a bar

The thing is I don't have access to the materials tools giving that I do live in a small town. Plus I'm 13 and my parents wouldn't wanna go through the trouble to make me a "stupid dancing pad". So could someone just give me a good link to a Blue Shark metal pad w/o bar? Thanks.

Summary:
What two hard pads should I buy? I need ones that are durable, and will work on xbox & pc for less than $300 each.

Details:
Hi, I want to buy two hard pads. Right now I would be using them on the xbox, but at some point I'd like to be able to use them on the PC.

I've used soft pads that I modded (just tapped a foam piece to the back), and I've also used the ignition 3.0. The 3.0 ignition has been pretty crappy. We got two, and within 1-2 months each was having serious problems registering arrow presses. They were under warranty, so we got them replaced, but then we couldn't play for a while, so they are out of warranty now, and one has already failed.

I'm willing to pay up to $300 per pad, as long as it is going to last.

Well i own 3 ddr games and love them so much and paly them daily,anyways the pads are alot of money so i was think of savin more money to buy a metal pad *i have 200 dollars* is there one really good but kinda cheap price? thanks anyways

There are no good cheap pads, only decent cheap pads. If you're willing to save up another $140 or so, then you can get a Cobalt Flux, my friend has one and he says it's great, he mostly does 10's and 11's with it. If you don't want to spend over $300 than you could build one yourself like Charlie said, it's actually pretty easy and you can finish within 3 days if you spend time on it.
