Do you play DDR facing left or right?

well, it occured to me at one point that when i play DDR, i tend to face to the left. i dont know if im the only one, or if its just an easier way of playing, but i just wanted to know if you guys usually play facing left or right.

whenever i play facing right, i sort of get confused at where my feet are because im not used to it i guess..

and for all you guys that face front, yall should all some style to your dancing!!

I'm almost always playing as P1 but that doesn't affect the way I play. I guess I play all over the place. I do a lot of crossovers so my body turns to match the steps. At times I face left, at times I face right. Whenever there isn't a crossover I just keep my body the way it was at the end.

say you have:

Left
Down
right
Down
Left
Down
Left
Down

then my body would be turned slightly right, turn about 270 degrees to hit the right note, then back to facing right. If you reverse the left and right, then I'd be facing left. Simple as that.

I play on P2 all the time, and I usually just stand straight with the head to the screen. I hold the bar too. I don't turn if I don't have to, like on slow crossovers I just double-step and stay straight ahead. Otherwise it just depends on the song, like if there's a L D R D L D R thing.

I start facing front, but turn whichever way is advantagous to hitting the arrows, such as after crossovers and stuff.

It depends on the arrows. Some songs require you to stand to the left, some to the right.

I play flatfoot so I ussually play facing the screen. However in songs like Sakura where the pattern is: 8626862 or 84248428 I ussually face towards the left. This is only in circumstances like this. If a song required me to turn in some sort of different way I turn the way in which it applies best to the pattern.

like most of the ppl here i play heavy and try to keep the rythm so i turn whatever way is in the motion. but i dont play the entire song facing sidways.

Whenever I do AM-3P Heavy.. I don't do the left foot, right arrow crossover.. I start out Right foot right arrow, crossover to the left arrow.. so I guess right? left? o.o
