I think the depth of this thread extend to "Can I has DDR playing gurlfriend now?"

God I hate my gender. I should just pray to be reborn as a guy and kill myself now. If I'm always going to be physically inferior no matter what I do, what's the point?

I'm.... not even going to answer that. People, please read my WHOLE post and understand what I'm trying to say before quoting me.

Thank you for reaffirming my belief that sarcasm will NEVER be able to travel well over the internet. disturb.gif

Anyway, even if I did believe that (which I don't-- physically different =/= physically inferior), I would just make myself the exception and become the best there is.

Which I plan to do anyway. Go figure. riiight.gif

I wonder if girls can use their superior physical balance to perform better on PA'ing easier charts over scoring lower but still solidly on harder ones.

Ah, my apologies. I knew it was sarcasm, but I read it was an attack against what I had said. (You did say it right after quoting me, after all..) I was a little confused because I hadn't really said too much on girls being physically different from guys..

I completely understand that you're allowing for exceptions to your ridiculous gender-biased generalizations.

Why don't YOU understand that someone saying "I'm an exception to your generalization" is the LAST thing YOU should be pointing to as proof of your nonsense?

How about the fact that she agreed with my generalization in the first place? I'm done with this thread. You remind me of bad politicians who take things out of context to try and make an argument, which really makes you look like more of an idiot yourself. Maybe when you're older than 16 or 17, you'll get some more life experience and realize everything isn't peaches and cream like you obviously believe it is.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Slowpoke is probably older and more experienced than you by a long shot.

And frankly, Slowpoke has kept his cool here, you seem more like the inexperienced youth getting all pissed off because not everybody is agreeing with what you have to say.

I should say the same to you, since I'm older than your dad, genius

Boots wrote:

The only thing that proves is that she's harboring the same biases you are. If every woman on the planet said, "Yes, I agree with you, but I'm an exception", you still wouldn't be right even though you'd literally have the whole world agreeing with you.

Refusing to believe that "motivation" is somehow intrinsic to the Y chromosome hardly makes all of life peaches and cream.

E19.gif I thought men generally have better strength, but that women have better balance, so they'd be able to control their bodies more easily to hit the notes accurately.

Scienfitically, males have more muscle mass and females have less. Thus, men tend to have more endurance than females. But, females having less muscle mass tend to weight less, thus being more agile.

This agility might help in balance, thus they are able to AA a lot of 7-footers and below footers. Whereas, they do well at the beginning of a 9/10 footer, but slowly tire out by the end and loose rhythm.

Men, having endurance can AA a wide range of songs more stably than females.

I have no idea, but I think that's what they are saying.

What the hell, the reason why more guys play DDR than girls has nothing to do with muscle mass, stability, endurance, whatever. You build your endurance after time through playing the game, so why does it appear that girls have less stamina than guys? Because girls play less. It's the exact same reason why less (key word less, not none) girls play WoW, or Halo, or MSG, etc, etc. Girls are just less interested in videogames, period, than guys.

All this bullshit about "Girls not being able to FA because they get too tired" or "girls don't have good stamina so they can't pass anything above a 7" is really starting to piss me off. You develop these skills through time playing, not based on what gender you are. Our skills vary just like they do in guys; I know girls that are endurance whores who can pass 12's and 13's, but don't have a single expert *** to their name. Myself, I have 160-some-odd ***'s, (49 expert), some quads, but I can only pass two 12's.

So you can all shut up about this great mystery now.

Well here's my two cents on this topic, though I know that someone on this forum will read it, laugh, then chew on my buttocks for a bit, kinda like the slowpoke/boot debate.

Frankly, where I live there are quite a few girls who play, but they play at home, not at arcades or the movies. Even when I asked if they wanted to play (cause they love it, and they like to nag me, asking for tips and which way to do this song is better, etc. etc.) they would never play in public. I believe, as many others have already said, it's all because of society.

There are some exceptions, though surprisingly, the exceptions in my area are all the fat chicks laugh.gif . The few fit/skinny ones who play never really play anything higher than a 6, but it's probably different in other areas.

Although one difference I've noticed between girls who play at home and girls who play in public is that I've never seen any girl play in public without bar-hogging unless they're playing beginner.

So back to society. As others have mentioned, the image of girls in society is to be perfect, hot bimbos who are beach-blondes and have no brains whatsoever. I prefer if a girl has brains, that way I can actually have a conversation with them (without them saying "Like" every 3 seconds). Because of this image, many girls are under the impression that they can't play DDR cause it involves exercise, so even the ones who do play don't play the songs they can barely pass, trying to get better, but songs that are so easy they don't break a sweat.

And this is just for DDR. There are even more social problems involving video games in general (and thank god I've found a girl that can whoop me in every game except DDR E4.gif )

...I wish there where more girl gamers where I live T_T (Can't play online, so...)

Now before you all shoot me...

*Raises a Metal Pad*

HA! E10.gif

PS: Yay for censorship >.>..."doggy" when I use a plural...honestly.
