I dont consider myself a geek for playing DDR. People around here who play really well are considered "cool".

well some of the ppl here are geeks. Some not so much. Maybe were just the ones that are open minded to this kind of thing and found somthing we like. although the Major DDR geeks are the ones who are closed minded to anything but DDR.
But i wouldnt call myself a geek(and if i was its not somthing i would openly admit). I WOULD be a DDR geek

if all i did was DDR, have no friends but the ones through DDR, only listen to DDR music, and only do things online that involve DDR (such as simulaters, videos, etc.)

btw, whats the difference between a nerd and a geek?

Why is it that people actually still care what people think about them? It reminds me of middle school... whether you play DDR or like it or don't like it isn't gonna matter in the long run. If people bug you just tell em to f*** off. If they don't, call security on them... its funny to watch them try and act cool while being removed from the premises.(this may not work in your area if the people bugging you aren't complete losers and might actually do something...honestly not likely though considering they are harassing people...in an arcade

) If you have to argue or say that you're cool.... you're not. Just play the game and have fun and stop worrying about pointless crap like this.

Wow, i made an intelligent post in DDRfreak and got intelligent responses... this is a sign of the apocalypse.
On a more serious note, I'm glad some people realize that taking other peoples opinions so seriously is just going to end up screwing them in the end. Sadly there is an almost 20 page thread with mostly people whining about whether or not they are geeks/nerds/cool/lame/spacealiens. Anyone that feels bad after having something like this said to them, or just... feels the need to be "grouped" needs to grow up.(and in time most will... regardless of what you think) 99% of the stuff that goes on in high school is looooong forgotten 3 months later by the time you're in college, and even if people do remember... no one cares.
