Did I already mention The Theme from Shaft? It's just that back in 4thMIX+/5th Mix, it had remixes of theme songs from these following cop shows:

Starsky & Hutch (Gotcha!)
Furuhata Ninzaburo (Furuhata's Theme)
Bayside Shakedown (Rhythm & Police)

BeForU was easily the heart and soul of DDR, until someone in Konami thought that it's a threat to the current structure (read: Konami's blatant overfunding of IIDX/pop'n).

I still think that TaQ's song Traces should be in DDR, though I know it won't be. It's like my favorite song by TaQ, and it's definitely danceable. I think it would be absolutely perfect for DDR. Then again, since Konami never seems to put good songs on DDR, it won't be on the next DDR.
