All of those pads are bad. You don't want them. Not to mention that these "pad dealer" sites have a reputation of being unreliable, having bad customer service, and charging way too much for shipping.

EDIT: Holy shit, those aren't low prices at all. The only thing more bullshit than the prices is what they put for the original price. NO metal pad for the PS2 costs $800 (unless you count those Konami official metal pads that are rarer than unicorn fossils)

You don't want ANY pad off Ebay. They're crappy rip-offs.

I'm looking for good soft pads with a hard foam insert probably 1 inche thick within $40.

OR a very cheap mad pad for about $80.

You can get a tx1000ish pad off ebay for about $70 after shipping; you won't break it if you're a light or standard player, so they're only rip-offs if you are a hardcore heavy player. Homebrew's much better/cheaper though.

I second this. I reccomended one to a friend once when he asked me what DDR pad he should get for Christmas (this was for Christmas of '06) because I heard they were good. He got one, and to this very day it still works great. The USB connectability is pretty cool too, we often hook it up to his computer for stepmania. Since I'm on the topic of it's USBness, I should mention that it doesn't lag. It's definitely worth the money, believe me.
