I noticed on this page that they have an "official" Konami DX pad. I'm just wondering if anyone has this pad, because I'm thinking of buying it. I don't want to buy a crap pad, and I sure hope that this pad is worth the $200.

Its not worth the 200$... Save up your lunch money and buy the cobalt flux. Forget what you hear about the newer CF's. Mine arrived 2 weeks ago and its been working flawlessly.

I wouldn't reccomend anything from that site. Not only are some of the pads being advertised bad pads, but the site looks unreliable. Save your lunch money and get a CF.

QFE, it's even worse considering it's another $53.00 for shipping. laugh.gif

This might be a little off topic but did we say the same phrase by coincidence?

My friend has a DX pad, and he says it works great.... He probably didnt buy it for 200$ though.

There really is an official Konami DX pad. It's quite a good pad, but not perfect. It's very accurate, and tough as nails. Mine is actually falling apart, but still works better than the crappy knockoffs I bought off eBay, which stopped working entirely after a month. However, the pad surface is very slippery on both the top and bottom. It slides around considerably on carpet, never used it on hardwood or concrete. Also, the foam is much thinner and softer than the knockoffs, probably only around 1/2 inch or so. I paid $150ish shipped for mine (the Ignition didn't exist at the time and I had to buy it from Yahoo Japan actions), which seemed fair at the time since I got 2 legit Jp. DDR games with it, but I don't know how much I'd pay for it now.

But yeah, it's not worth $250 shipped, especially when you consider this: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Toys_N_Joys
Apparently sending your money to ToysNJoys is about the same as flushing it down the toilet or setting it on fire. =\ You'd send them $250 and get absolutely NOTHING. They probably don't even have it anyway. The DX pad's pretty old, dating back to around 2000 or 2001. They're pretty hard to find and ToysNJoys just seems to like advertising items on their site that they don't really have.
