This may seem weird but I absolutly CANNOT play DDR with shoes on. Seriously even when I'm at the Arcade I'll kick off my chucks and play in just my socks. I have no clue why but it just seems so weird when I play with my shoes on. I think it might be because i've gotted into the habit of taking my shoes off when I'm at home but I dunno. _________________

I play in really flat-footed shoes.. Vans are probably my shoe of choice. I really can't play in any sort of running shoes, lol. |

Nike free trainer 7.0's. For me they're definately the lightest and most comfortable shoes to wear. _________________

Nice those are sexy as hell. I got the blue and whites and they're decently sexy themselves. _________________

I prefer using sock-feet at home, never barefeet. Barefeet sticks to the mat and it hurts your feet when you're on heavy mode from stomping so hard. Once and a while I get blisters from wearing sockfeet though... Oh well. Recently, I decided to try out wearing shoes. From experimentation, I find skate shoes are the best for hitting the arrows, but it hurts the mat you're playing on. (I wrecked mine playing with shoes on )
At the archades, I always wear footwear. It just hurts playing with bare / sockfeet, and it's a little gross with everyone's shoes being on the arrows. Bleh! |

In my opinion, èS Square Ones are some of the best DDR shoes you can buy. They're not overly expensive (I got my pair at TSX for $55), they grip the panels well, they're extremely comfy, and they're very light. But like I said before, if you're going to buy them, beware of so-called "skaters" calling you a "poser". On a random side note, most of these "skatboarders" who call kids "posers" are poseurs themselves.
Another good DDR shoe is the Etnies Callicut. It's not as good as éS Square Ones are, but it is still a very good DDR shoe. In fact, up until I got my éS shoes, they were the only shoe I would play DDR in. |

Vans are really good DDR shoes (excluding the Rowley XL3's, WORST DDR SHOES EVER!). I played in my brown Vans No Skools for the first time yesterday, and they had a whole lot more grip than my other Vans (which were Rowley XL3's).
Good to see another person who can't play well in running shoes. |

Haha, I just use my skate shoes (I skate, so it's all I wear) at the arcade. At home, socks. Hopefully shoes when I get my Cobalt Flux. |
