Replacement panel help?

I just recently bought two TX-1501 pads last week off of ebay.

Anyways, they suck.

I broke the right arrow panel and was wondering if I could replace all the arrows with plexiglass or lexan.

Could I just cut out a square the same size and glue some sheet metal to the bottom?
