Speculation for Bemani in the Next-Gen

So how does everyone think they will handle the transition to the newer consoles. I really honestly have no clue what system they will goto if they ever even decide to transition. Right now the PS3 looks like a huge flop and will most likely remain ridiculously expensive for a while.

Right now if Konami does decide to do a switch it will probably be to Wii. Either way Konami will have to release some kind of PS2 to New system adapter so why not make it easier by releasing a PS2-GC adapter instead of attempting to create some kind of USB attachment for the PS3. Plus its not like Bemani games (with the exception of maybe IIDX) are really offered any kind of improvement from the graphics and storage space anyway.

XBOX 360 isn't very popular in Japan so I really don't see it going there either.

you'll see them making em for both the PS2 and wii for about 2 more years then they'll only make wii versions.

it makes no sense to release it on PS3, as to get a PS2 controller to work requires an adapter, and 360 is doing pretty bad in japan, so i only see them sticking to the wii. how will we easily mod our wiis is the question....

Until developers announce they'll stop developing for PS2, I'm sure you'll still see games released on PS2. Even when they announce it, they'll probably stick to it for another year or two before moving on, giving people a chance to transition.

Yeah, the PS2 is really the only system still going on. The GCN & Xbox are basically dead now. I don't see the PS3 lasting much longer unless they get better games & exclusives & a BIG price drop.

Well, this is a kinda tricky situation. The PS3 is selling well in Japan but horribly in the US. But the 360 is the best selling in the US but doing badly in Japan. Im guessing they will just stick with the PS3 and screw over all the 360 owners in the US.

Or if were lucky maby they will go all Ultramix on us and release Xbox 360 exclusive Bemani titles.

So konami selling games only for ps3 or wii would exclude most of the american market. (well, as if they acually cared about the american market

like i said before, wii is doing very will in most areas. wii has many music games coming out for it(boogie, guitar hero 3, rock band, ect). Bemani doesnt need to run on anything more powerful. wii owners are fine with buying lots of controllers.

honestly, if they dont go with wii, they're just stupid.
