I'm about 100% sure you can, but I don't know precisely how.
I'd recommend making some yourself or getting a couple DT200's. _________________

The DT500's are still pretty far in the future. The DT200's, however, as of 1:32pm today, now have completed blueprints. Unlike with the DT600's, nothing's experimental; it's all physics. So I should be able to have a prototype made for the DT200's shortly after collecting the income necessary. I already have the panels. ($30) _________________

First off, don't buy bluesharks.
Second, yes, it is very possible to hookup an arcade pad to a cpu. You have two options to get this done.
1. Buy a Jamma I/O board that can hookup to your cpu. This would be how ITG used to gut out DDR machines. Granted, this could be more work and money than the second option, but it's still an option and would grant you full use of the DDR machine pads without having to re-wire them. It also would take more knowledge about wiring and hardware/software.
2. Rewire the pads. If you use the I/O boards still in the pads, make sure you know what you are doing. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then stop right here and find another option that doesn't involve arcade pads. The simpliest solution would be to bypass the I/O board and just wire up directly to the new PCB you would be using to connect to your stepmania cabinet. That may sound like an easy task, but it's not. You'd basically be wiring directly to the sensors and even the lights if you chose to use them. Bacially, you'd be bypassing the Konami I/O board and connecting to a PS2 controller or some control box, etc. Similar to wiring up your own home built pad, minus the whole pad building part.
Good luck. _________________

Why not?
|
Because I think they charge too much for those pads, have horrible customer service and have plenty of complaints from DDR Players about their company. _________________

Dude, their customer service is getting a bit better... And you WILL what you ordered, just not when you were expecting to get it lol... and bluesharks are definitely worth the money _________________

The up arrow on my Blueshark broke within 3 months of RARELY using it.
Dont buy bluesharks. I feel terrible because i made my mom get this expecting something great, but it wasnt. She wasted so much money.
Oh but wait ive still got that great 180 day warrenty. Too bad if i send back my blueshark there is like a 3 percent chance of them actually sending something back, which means that i would have just wasted 50$ for shipping.
PHUCK mymybox. |

How do you know it wasn't one of the duds, as in the defect that happened to be in your pad? _________________

I am pretty sure you would have to order it online first, then pick it up there. Odds are, it's just a warehouse, not an actual store. |

Let me rephrase,
How do you know it wasn't just dud pad, of which could happen to anybody with any company? _________________

Because it didn't work properly right out of the box.

Well it was a dud pad, and there shouldn't be anything "dud" about a 400 dollar product from anyone.
And are you seriously sticking up for MMB? |
