I know a guy who lost 35lbs. I go to the gym to lift weights almost everyday, and play DDR for cardiovalcilate (however you spell that). DDR also makes you legs a LOT stronger. once i started playing, i can run faster and jump higher.

thats about how much i lost with ddr and swimming (and eating better laugh.gif )
i guess it was mostly the ddr though (and the eating better part)

well what im doing now to get in mega shape for football is im playing ddr 3+ hours at least 3 times a week and gping to the gym everyday right after i go ddring. its mega tiring but its 20 times better. also after i use the gym i go swimming lol. i dont stop but ive lost ;like 15 pounds in like 2 weeks that way and rightn ow im so much stronger and faster because of it.

DDR/ITG comes second when it comes to running though.

I lift weights every other day and combine it aerobics/running and Karate, haha, the results are unarguable! laugh.gif

Waiting until you've lost weight before doing DDR?

I lost about 20 pounds from playing. My friend Ben (DeadEndManiac) lost about 60, if I remember right.

It helps that we both spent our lunch money on tokens. And that the arcade was about a mile or so from the school, so we decided to walk there almost every day E1.gif

I've lost a good 10 pounds playing DDR, but I've lost another 10 just running 3 miles every Thursday. I've noticed my legs and feet getting lighter when I walk or jog, even though I weigh 208 pounds.

DDR only helps you lose weight if you mix it in with other training.

^Pretty true pnoy.

The distance runners in track I've noticed are pretty ripped; they always burn fat and do a lot of crunches to get their 8-packs.

Maybe after a good DDR workout do 2 or 3 sets of crunches (not situps).

As far as my knowledge goes for losing weight. Stop drinking soda. It adds poundage to your gut or as for girls their hips. :X Recomended exercise would be something cardiovascular for at least 30 mins a day. ie. Running. I think anyone can pick up a pair a running shoes and run for at least half an hour a day. DDR is great cardiovascular exercise. People who don't play ddr have a misconception for it being a dancing game when it isn't. When you play stuff on heavy all it really is shuffling your feet so you can get every steps. but yeah. You should mix up your trainning if you want to lose weight. Outside of ddr I do play tennis. biggrin.gif
