DDR is how you lose weight. This makes no sense. _________________

i haven't lost weight from ddr since i started. i say you should still play ddr but do other things (run, tone your muscles, do some sort of outdoor sport). that way you're still getting better at ddr and losing weight. |

If you're outside of your weight range, studies seem to show that without a controlled diet, swimming is one of the worst cardio exercises for weightloss. It's certainly a great exercise for getting healthier, as it puts less strain on the joints than most exercises, but in this case, swimming wouldn't be one of the better suggestions.
Here is a good article if you think I'm full of shit (like most people do when I tell them this): http://www.tinajuanfitness.info/articles/art041800.html |

I certainly do listen to other people's point of view (I don't know where you got the idea that I didn't). I only respect a point of view, however, if it has a reasonable basis backed by research or logical deduction. Most people, unfortunately, will argue on topics to which they have no education and believe that their personal experience, with that topic, is a well designed experiment and it applies to everyone. |

As long as somebody has some experience with a particular subject, they can feel free to post their thoughts on the matter. People engage in discussions all the time and usually are not experts. _________________

I'm not talking about discussion. I'm talking about making false claims as true statements with no support. Discussion is fine. If you're uneducated on the subject, discussion allows you to become more educated by looking at other people's (hopefully legitimate) point of views and making logical deductions. Stating a claim as fact when you have no idea what you're talking about is what I have a problem with.
I'm not saying that LeCoconut did any of that, though. |

It's possible she clicked the reply button after you edited your post to say that and didn't see it at first. _________________

Possible. That's why I reposted it, so she(?) would have to read it. |

I've lost 65 lbs with DDR, and gotten better the more I played. There's no need to quit, practice is what makes you better, not weight. _________________
