In the arcade or home version of DDR, how he says "100 combos!", and then, while he's saying it, you miss an arrow and screw it up???!!! I really hate that, especially in the arcade when I'm doing good, and the moment he says it, I miss an arrow. I think they mess up your concentration, and make you more nervous not to miss an arrow, which makes you miss one!

^I'm just glad THAT (and all its variants, but ESPECIALLY that one) got scrapped from the old announcer.

Anyway, the combo status yells are one of those things you gradually tune out of as you keep playing the game.

I don't know why, but it seems like Konami should forever stick to the MAX announcer (a.k.a. the current one for arcade mixes and their console versions), as he's the only one I can't really get (or never got) annoyed from. Also, because everytime Konami does switch, it's always to an annoying announcer.

When I played DDR Universe, the announcer just ruined it all - not because of what she said, but because of the way she sounded. It feels like a Barbie Doll video game.

The announcer that's on Solo 2000 is rude. "C'mon you ain't got no rhythm". I just rather have the announcer that's from Max to SuperNOVA than her and the other announcer (5th mix and below).

On SN CS, i hate that even when you have the announcer turned off, the "crowd" still cheers at random parts of the song. the announcer doesn't bug me as much as booing and cheering.
