I know:
Drop out 8->9
End of the Century 8->9
Healing D Vision 9->10
Mondo Street 7->8

What other songs were officially re-rated at some point?
This is not what you think should be re-rated, it's what actually changed in the game.

I know in MAX2, Burnin' The Floor had typoed difficulties so that it had the same ratings as Burning Heat!, making it a 9.

Not sure if that counts, though.

that was just a mistake when they originally were going to use the Ultra mix steps that were a 6, then changed it to the festival steps, which were an 8, but they forgot to change the rating and the groove radar, same thing with Quikining.

Why are people still debating on this? You know Phrekwenci is going to lock this due to its massive repetition of this topic that tends to appear every year.

We're basing this topic on hard facts, not opinions.

Hard facts lead to arguments, arguments lead to fights, fights lead to locks.

Come on slowpoke, I know you've seen this topic appear as much as I do and there's really no point in having this topic unlocked.

What you've seen was "Which song's foot rating is more like THIS foot rating according to ME", not "Which OFFICIAL foot ratings were changed BY KONAMI?" Come on, "Yoda".

It's a shame how somebody asks a simple question and an argument flares up.

To add to the thread, Sky High was a 6 on Solo 2000, then a 7 on Extreme.

Do You Remember Me used to be a 7, didn't it?

Share My Love was a 5 on Disney Mix, and a 7 on MaxUS.

Healing-D-Vision Difficult went from 8 to 9 from Beta to final.

Other SuperNOVA Beta to final changes:
Mugen Basic was an 8.
Mugen Difficult was an 8.
Mugen Expert was a 10.
Dragon Blade Difficult was, I believe, an 8.

Other random re-rates:
GRADIUSIC CYBER (AMD G5 MIX) Expert went from an 8 to a 9.
Look to the Sky Expert went from a 6 to a 7.

Actually, I think that Mind Parasite uses Monkey Punk's values, just like in MAX2 with Burnin' The Floor/Burning Heat!.

So Deep was rated as a 10 in the Max 2 AC beta, and Wild Rush oni was mislabeled as a 1 in one of the nonstop courses. Those are both pretty well-known, along with the aforementioned Burnin' The Floor/Burning Heat mix-up.

And speaking of Gradusic Cyber (AMD G5 Mix), I remember being very confused by how difficult it was when I first got Max 1 CS for the PS2... "This is an 8-footer?" E19.gif

Why are songs re-rated? Wouldn't it just be easier for Konami to rate each song once and leave it at that?

Already there are "hard" x-footer and "easy" x-footer songs. Wouldn't it just be less confusing to keep original ratings?

This is one of the most debated issues on this site.

My two cents: while it's true that there are easy and hard songs for each difficulty level, sometimes you'll have a song that is, for example, an 8 footer that is more difficult than a pretty good number of 9 footers. In cases like that, I think it's appropriate for Konami to change the rating.
