Help On Extreme 2

okay like i'm trying to unlock some more songs on extreme 2 and i'm having difficultys unlocking the ones that say "dont use directional arrows" but when i go through the song making it boo, and it says "each time you hit an arrow you get an additional 250 points" well when i hit the arrow it fails. i really need help, my friend said she would unlock it for me and she never got around to it. but if anyone can help me please let me know. thank you

c i'm pretty sure, its in the standard-heavy songs. i just can't beat it.
