Paranoia Respect, Max Unlimmited, The Legend of Max, Max 300 super max me mix challenge, Healing D Vision and......PSMO LOL |
The order of difficulty of ten footers has been covered before in other threads, so here's a copy-paste of all of 'em, easiest to hardest, in my personal opinion.
Sakura
Xepher
PARANOiA Survivor
MAX 300
PARANOiA Surivor Max Heavy
Healing-D-Vision Heavy
PARANOiA Respect (?)
MAX 300 Super-Max-Me-Mix Heavy
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ Heavy
MaxX Unlimited
MAX 300 Super-Max-Me-Mix Oni
The Legend of MAX
Fascination MAXX Heavy
Fascination MAXX Oni
PARANOiA Survivor MAX Oni
Healing-D-Vision Oni
Fascination ~eternal love mix~ Oni
That's just my opinion though, you may feel some of these are easier/harder. And yeah, SMMMO is not as hard as LoM if you ask me. SMMMO isn't complicated, just fast.. and LoM is faster by 10bpm. The quarter note jumps aren't that bad, really - your feet aren't moving any faster then as when they do eighth note runs.
Note that some of these, like Fascination ~ELM~ Oni, and Healing-D-Vision (both difficulties) are just stupid. HDV was once described as a whirling vortex of crap. I like that description. _________________

Well, for the way onto Heavy, I believe you should get good at Voltage, Stream, and Chaos. I'm pretty good at all of them, but I'm still having trouble from Chaos.
Also, it's a good idea to take a few cycling classes. Some of the best stamina boosters ever. Oh, and strech beforehand or you might pull something. And don't dance off the mat. Yes, I have done this.
Lastly, the speed mods are your friend. _________________

hello =].
I am an ex DDR player looking to get back into, I use to be able to clear all songs up to legend of maxx, now that I am out of shape, my stamina is way down and I can even get tired on 9 footers.
I have been watching some of the newer videos of people playing and i noticed a lot of players now just use their back heel for the down arrow. I have never tried this but it seems most players do it and I was wondering if it is easier this way or moving my whole foot down. Also, is it easy to start doing this, or will it take a while for me to adapt to it. |

Everyone I've seen plays using heel-toe that can pass 12's and such (I only play ITG, but that's irrelevant) except me. I get made fun of, they tease me, tell me to get off my damn toes but that's just how I play. Playing heel-toe saves a lot more energy, but IMO is harder to FA. It will take a while to adapt if you switch playing styles, most people I know who've switched said it took them a few months. _________________

By "playing heel-toe" do you mean flat-footing? Heel-toeing is a completely different style that I believe JSB formed and Dukamok is currently trying to master. It's where you keep your feet stationary on the pad between arrows and you tip your feet back and forth to hit the arrows with your toes and heels subsequently with the steps. |

I meant flat-footing. I've heard both term referred to as the same thing. "Actual" heel-toe would be intense, you'd have to use essentially no energy at all. _________________

Looks like I'm going to be working on using my heels more, need to have more stamina when I move on to 11-12 footers. |

Like I said, whatever you're comfortable with. I can pass 11's 12's on my toes, then again I've been playing this way for about two years. _________________

Yeah, I play on my toes as well. Better workout and it just is easier for me. Maybe my softpad isn't too good for flatfooting too.
Paranoia Survivor is easier than Max 300? I always thought Paranoia Survivor was a little more technical. It's all up to a person's opinion though. |

You can flatfoot on a soft-pad if its arranged correctly. All you need is an immense amount of duck tape and some glue if your parents don't mind. Duck tape the sides down and maybe glue the entire bottom of the pad. This should prevent your pad from slipping around and if its stretched out when you duck tape it you can flatfoot.

This is called bracket raping. This really is cheating and should be avoided at all costs. An example would be towards the end of this video.
Also I'm having trouble learning 16th streams for songs like 'Delirium' on ITG...any tips? _________________

I dunno, I can pass psmo, but not fascination maxx oni, ive been playing for a year now flatfooted, the best way to do streams is to keep on practicing long streams and you're feet will eventually get used to rapid tapping. the next step is to direct it. |

No one cares about Bag.
And yeah, seriously, LoM isn't hard at all, compared to the other ones in the list. _________________
