|
|
Hello all. I'm new here and had a question for you. I'm a grandmother, 53 and I love DDR. I got hooked on it awhile back as the perfect exercise. My granddaughter loves DDR and we play it together whenever she comes over. My question is.....do you think it would make you happy or embarrassed if your grandmother liked to play this game? She seems to think it's a lot of fun to play with me but I don't know if she's just being sweet or if she really thinks it awful. I'll never be able to do the really hard stuff, I manely do standard level but I don't care, I love it anyway. Be honest now, how would you feel if your grandmother liked to play this game with you? |

Umm.. my grandma is dead... so I'd be a little worried if she was playing ddr on standard mode with me. . . "Are you my DDR Guardian Angel, Gramma?"
Supposing she was alive, I think it'd be cool.
But I don't really believe you're 53 and playing standard. Sorry. _________________

53 isn't all that old, you know. My mom is 54, and she can move perfectly well. _________________

with a screen name like that...I'm pretty sure she's the real deal.
And frankly, anyone can DDR when and if they want, really. If she's embarrassed cause of you, she needs to do some soul searching and get her priorities straight. Frankly, I think it'd be pretty awesome if my mome or grandma were into DDR (although I'd be a bit worried for my grandma's health...she's like 74...) _________________

My parents are younger than 53 - and move okay...but still not well enough to play STANDARD.
How long have you been playing? _________________

My grandparents both tried once, but didn't do too good. My grandmother couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that you have to wait for the arrows to reach the top of the screen before hitting them. Said the game was cheating... _________________

I haven't gotten anyone, let alone family members, interested in DDR. _________________

The game is not age dependent. If you can read, listen and walk, you shouldn't have a problem. _________________

I seem to remember a thread from a few years ago about DDR and sumo wrestlers. _________________

Hell yeah, I had a math teacher last year around your age and I got her playing DDR. If you like it, go for it...I'd love it if other people in my family were into it. _________________

She'd probably break a few bones.
Serious, DDR is at least age dependent to a certain degree, like all exercise. There are exceptions. _________________

You'd be surprised how many of them are convinced they can live forever. _________________

Age doesn't have anything to do with it, it's how well you take care of yourself.
I think your granddaughter really is happy that the two of you have something in common, Petunia. _________________

There's a guy in his 80's who does that kind of stuff and claims he drinks juice from a juice maker. _________________
