Lexan or Lucite? And also would they be available at places like Home Depot, or OSH?
-I know there's a thread about the difference between the too, i don't care about the Newtonic pressure they can withhold.. which is better in general? |

Honestly, I have no idea what the difference is but as for availability, though you can definitely find 1/4inch at home depot, and at other stores you may or may not be able to find 1/4inch but probably can find 1/8inch (which I think is kinda flimsy). You should probably go to one of your local glass stores though and get it from them cut and everything, as it is about the same price, and cutting plexi is a pain. |

You probably won't find the panels at HD, but the sheet steel, mending brackets, and corner brackets should cost around $50-$80.
I don't really know; I'll be going to HD tomorrow though to pick up steel and sawblades, so I'll make sure to check. _________________

Anyone here notice the vast majority of these "metal" ddr pads are really wood wrapped (sometimes even not wrapped) pads, lol. |

I decided for my metal pad to just strip my existing MyMYBox (broken) SOLOMODE 2200 down to the frame, recycling the pieces of sheet metal and the bar, and re-building the inside to arcade-like specifications.
My first test sensor came in from MMB -works perfectly through light, standard, and heavy with my existing pad and 7 more on the way, instead of using 16 sensors for the pad. (7 * 20 = $140 + shipping & tax as opposed to 15 * 20 = $300 + shipping & Tax) _________________

2 questions: What are the arrows made of and what's holding them down? |

the arrows are carbon fiber with a magneto holding them down..
JK, its just puzzle-piece flooring foam. Its not held down by anything... I'm looking into velcro, but i don't want it to be so that for regular maintenance i need to unscrew and jack up everything to the point of ghetto. |

sheet metal = $15 for the sheet size you need
corner/mending brackets = I don't know
4 lexan panels = about $25 if you get them cut from your local glass store (I don't know if it will be specifically lexan (mine's optix brand or something), but at 1/4" thick, it is still pretty damn strong feeling, and the average person won't harm it)
Everything should be available at home depot, but as I said, if you can find it for ~$25, you should have the lexan or whatever cut as that stuff's a pain to cut. |

I wouldn't suggest it. Spay on liners only protect and grab things like boxes.. since it's plastic your shoes would slide off it. You'd be better off with a soft pad. _________________
