crossovers? I have In The Groove for PS2 that I've been practicing on. So what would be a good song on Hard that has crossovers that I can practice. Also if you know any expert songs I could try. Don't know if I'd pass it though. Thanks. _________________

If you're in need of DDR songs with crossovers..
AM-3P if you're first getting into them
Can't Stop Fallin in Love Speed Mix if you feel confident with speed and crossovers
As for ITG..I have no idea. _________________

for ITG: I'd say Romeo & Juli8 or Queen of Light, both expert. |

WBBulldogs, that is a very good question, and in fact one I would have asked here myself if I had joined earlier.
Despite what the others have said, I don't think it will do you much good to jump into a hard song that has crossovers. You'll exhaust yourself while stubbornly sticking to non-crossovers to do the steps.(EDIT: Sorry, I didn't realize WBBulldogs asked for crossovers on a hard difficulty setting. Still, why must the crossovers be on hard? Aren't you trying to get used to crossovers? If so, it seems it would be easier to get comfortable with them, THEN try the harder songs that have them.)
What got me more comfortable with crossovers was doing doubles mode. Start with the easiest, and gradually work your way up. Since doubles will (once you pass a certain difficulty threshold) basically *force* you to do crossovers, gradually the "pieces will fall into place" so to speak and they will feel more natural for you. (Until my guide is up, see this post for how to make a doubles set-up with a foam pad.)
Unfortunately, if you don't have access to a doubles set-up, I really don't know of anything that would function as the kind of tutorial you've described. I actually think this would be a great project for someone to do as a guide. Basically, write several step arrangements for a song that are designed to slowly ease you into doing cross-overs, and then gradually integrate into a normal dance. Since I have StepMania now, I may be able to write such a tutorial. Is there a "Wanted guides" section?
Actually, one more suggestion on learning crossovers if you do singles mode: When you first start a session, only do dances that are easy for you, BUT adhere (as best you can) to the rule that "I will not hit two different buttons in a row with the same foot." Also, try doing some easy dances entirely with your body pointing to the left, or to the right.
Hope that helps. _________________

Exactly. That's how I picked em up. I finally am at ease with them. Generally, the Up crossovers are the hardest to get, and I just practiced til it happened. On the Jazz has some good up ones...also, a lot of standard songs have slow crossovers, usually quarter notes, which can ease you in pretty easy. Now I'm learning the fun task of spins :S... _________________

I don't know about ITG songs, but on DDR, Air is a good song to get you used to crossovers since it's slow and doesn't have incredibly long streams, but just the right length. Once you're comfortable with crossovers, you can try Freckles.
