I consider doubles different from single. In the doubles world, i'd probably say Kobayan, Qkumbr, and tj3 are among the best. _________________

While we're on the subject of doubles, all I have to say is that Pirin is amazing.. _________________

So is Reboman, although he's mostly playing PIU now. _________________

I don't see a difference between PIU and DDR. It takes ten minutes of re-writing your muscle memory to switch between the two; PIU just has a freestyle mode and more potential for hard songs. _________________

I was considering including Jboy in doubles, but he's a PIU doubles player, I don't think ive seen a DDR/ITG double of him, that's why I didnt include him. _________________

As for the top 100 deal, what I meant by that is, it was vaguely within the range of possible. I'm not sure if he's the best in the state or not, but I've yet to find an Oregonian who is better. Oregon makes us just over 1% of the population of the United States, and about 2% of the DDR machines in North America. Few other countries care about DDR, and only Japan has players that can compete the our best, so it's not too extreme to conclude that he's probably pretty high on the list; 200 was my realistic estimate.
For reference, he'd probably be between 25th and 45th on DDRecall if he had one. |
Were the scores you were talking about earlier arcade scores? (Except for the PSMO score on EX JP, of course.) _________________

I find that pretty incredible, especially considering that he hasn't been playing DDR much lately. I don't know, maybe that's not that spectacular really, but I think it is. _________________

Pump isn't much different from Didder on Singles, but it is on Doubles. _________________

So yeah, your friend wouldn't be in the top 100 on Recall if all he does is play home versions(then again, no one really cares too much about rank on recall anymore in the last year and a half or so). _________________

Unlike me, his arcade scores don't vary grossly from his home scores. The nearest arcade to him is in Bend, almost an hour away from him, the machine's poopy, and it still costs $1 per game, so he doesn't play at the arcade much. I think his PSMO SDG was on EX JP, but I believe he's FC'd it with 20ish greats at the arcade as well, and that was a looong time ago, back before he started getting IIDX-quality timing. _________________

After having someone e-mail me about my choice for best female player, I have looked and compared scores and Chii Ayu is the best female player period. AAAs on bothCSFIL:SM and HVAM ... that's a true player. Sorry if I offended anyone who was offended by my choices. |

There aren't many good female players around here. But one of them always calls herself GIRL. That's wat all her machine names are. _________________

Alot of the people that are being mentioned aren't even close to Top 10... There are like 20 or so players that are insanely good and some people who are being mentioned are really good players but not even near that level.
Also you dissed me and then mentioned him. He's ok... but in terms of DDR (230 AAA)/ITG (99.36 average) ( I have way more AAAs and better scores. I suck compared to the rest but ya that was kind of weird you mentioned him after saying that.
Depending on whether you're considering DDR, or just ITG or both.
But ya, especially combining both DDR/ITG it's obviously players like: Pickles, BlueMystic, Lil Q, EvilDave, Damien, Omid, Duk, etc. (just picked a few randoms that came to mind there's way more).
And female players there are actually quite a few good ones. Amber is very good for a girl maybe the best? (Flo), hurtpiggypig is pretty good but I don't know if she still plays, Glow (Steph from here) is good she has some scores like 99.93 tribal and a ton of stuff like that, Olivia from here too, Joker is ok, there were a bunch of others but I can't remember exactly who. Not sure which girl is the best but there are quite a few really good players.
Doubles I don't know who's the best. Kobayan? Players like Rebo, Jboy, TJ3, etc. are definitely up there too. |

She's a Portlander, like me, and can kill most of the guys around here on DDR. I'm pretty sure she's the best female in the region. (Pacific NW for those who don't know where Oregon is.) I don't know how good Laura (another PNW bemanigirl) is, but I doubt she's better. _________________
