DDR Battle Mode? Good enough? Could be better.

I often find myself bored after playing normal ddr, so i turned to Battle mode hoping that it would be fun. I was wrong, it was mean and threw random gay mods at me, and the mods that were attacking the other player were just helping him read the arrows. liek wtf! So i came to my conclusion:

Battle mode sucks for one reason, you cant control the mods thrown at the other player. DDR/ITG battle would be a lot more fun and interesting if we had more control over mods. My idea is that different step patterns activate different mods, say for example, a song should give you a brief periods of time throughout the song to activate a certain mod on the other player, like a part in the song without any arrows or a pause. This would be called the attack time. Once the player has a charged up attack bar. The player would do a step pattern say LDUR in the breif time and that would activate higher speed for the other player, if done repeatedly the speed will increase to 8x screwing up the other player. This mod would last for 5-10 seconds and the other player would recover to normal. Complex patterns will inflict harsher mods. There should be mods also exclusive to battle mode. In this way there can be a bit of strategy in ddr rather than pure stepping skill(the best player dominating everyone all the time)(you could attack their weakness with mods). What do you think?

I'd be cool to hear "he pulled of an 8x speed attack on the other guy did you see that?" or like "He killed him using the stealth mod" DDR needs some innovation and im not seeing it.

Eh..I think a better idea if you could choose your own mods would simply be the < [] > buttons on the machine itself so you can cycle through them during gameplay and select the one you would like, and you could stack them to raise their power. o.o;

What'd be a little less complicated is instead of just attacking with mods in Battle Mode, you can get a little sign indicating you can smack the person next to you to weaken them or trip them for battle mode. E13.gif

Wow I honestly didn't know that. Thanks. E1.gif I mean I knew it was the better you do the higher level your attack gets but I wasn't sure that was how it works.
