Over the last few months of playing DDR daily, I've GAINED around 15 pounds. I don't look any heavier, so I suppose it's just muscle mass? You'd think that since I was mildly overweight to begin with I would be losing by this point, but oh well.

Try a healthy diet if you aren't already.

I've been playing for 6 months and haven't lost any weight... (and I play at least an hour a day!) ... but I haven't gained any weight either...even though I eat a lot of sweets.

It definitely keeps me in shape though. I can run plenty of laps in tae kwon do, and skate an entire period at hockey. And I know when I get my siblings on the DDR machine with me, they're exhausted after one game...while I can play 5 or 6 before I even begin to feel tired/sweat.

I'm pretty lean already, so it's really just for fun. Any weight loss [possible] will be purely coincidental.

If that's in response to my post... my diet hasn't changed since before I started playing DDR. It's frustrating to have increased my activity level that much and end up gaining weight. I don't know what else to think except that it might be related to hypothyroidism or problems with medication.

It isn't a problem!
I said I haven't GAINED any weight. So it's a good thing I play! hahaha
I'm not TRYING to lose weight. I like my sweets, thank you very much.
Anyway, I'm not even heavy. I'm just "average".

Eh.. I don't play it to lose weight but it helps to stay excersized in the house. I don't say to myself "alright I just ate a box of Krispy Kremes I gotta play DDR for an hour now and that will balance it out" I just play for a couple hours to practice and when I'm drenched in sweat I say "..sweet I prob lost some calories."

I know I managed to lose about 20 lbs. in 6 months playing DDR, no real diet change. Now my weight stays about the same, since I only do it once a week (all I have time for atm), but still, I'm pretty much average weight anyway, so yeah.

I've been playing dancing games for about six months roughly and I'm playing ITG 12's right now (soon to break into 13's), and I don't think I've lost or gained a pound. Why? Because I'm not on a diet or anything. I still eat the same crap - McDonalds, Burger King, Harveys, etc. I'm thinking of eating really healthy now to gain stamina for those harder songs.
