Modded softpads for $15-20? If my Mario Mix pad ever dies (over a year of playing expert on stepmania with it and it's still working just fine ), I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I'm one of the few people who prefer softpads; the rotating/moving (which isn't much when you're only 92lbs) is not as bad IMO as having to deal with the screws of metal pads, plus they're ultra-sensitive. |

You know, you should make an instructional DVD with two parts, one for making your own pad and the other for setting up the DT gaming pad or using the DIY Duct Tape pad.
And if you do, I demand that that video be an extra. That was made of win and awesomeness. (By the way, the hair is awesome - long haired guys who play DDR UNITE!) _________________

Hmm, looks like you know what you're talking about. And for that cheap! You must be crazy (in a good way, of course). If this turns out to be better than the Blueshark I just may pick this one up instead! |

Trexxen: I've actually been considering including either a CD or DVD with pictures and videos of the testing of each pad with each pad, for maybe 5 or 10 dollars extra. Perhaps stuff like a slideshow displaying how much weight the pad can handle, a video of me playing (and failing) HDVO on it, stuff like that. =) _________________

Yikes, you guys are right, it's been way too long. It's been over a month after I said it would be done.
I think I might have a pic or two of it early construction, but my camera's dead, it's still not finished, and I'm pretty sure any pics I HAVE taken look like total crap. If I remember, I'll borrow my grandpa's camera tomorrow and take a pic of what I have done. But until then, CRAP-PIC!:
I still need to sand it, glue it, finish cutting 3 of the 4 borders, wire it up, and make the 4 panels. _________________

Good luck with the sheet steel, I'm DYING to see this pad.
And by the way, only reason I haven't donated is because I don't have a job or paypal yet...but once I get those, expect some cash every once in a while to support your cause. And I hope the first prototype is a success, and may you get many donators to your cause.
