Makes perfect sense. You can be a big person but not fat, or you can be big and fat. Some of my friends are very big but very well in shape even more than me, which is a scary thought. I guess my point is, being big does not always equal fat. |

My friend mentioned in the top 10 thread is "big", but not fat. He just somehow managed to get his entire body as well-shaped as my legs were back when I played DDR for 3 hours a day (they were frickin' tree trunks; my quads were bigger than my waist). He's not tall either, just hung like a horse.
People like that often appear fat, even though most of them have less fat on their bodies than someone 50 lbs lighter than them and the same height. _________________

I don't mean to steriotype but 4 times out of five especially when a fat person sucks at the game (not cuz they're fat just out of newbishness) one tends to notice that their attire isn't staying pg-13, avoiding the full monty, any other buttcrack references. I really hate when I need to but can't talk to them because they may or may not be sensitive. especially the girls. please don't hate me |

I, in this country anyway, have never seen a really, umm, large person play DDR.
I guess there's some danger in pad damage or something? Meh. Doesn't really matter right? People should play if they feel like it. _________________

Weight is a force. (1lb = 4.5 Newtons, 250 lbs = 1125 Newtons)
However, an arcade pad CAN handle 250 lbs on one panel no problem. It takes a LOT (think along the lines of 2 or 3 tons) to actually break the pads, and quite a bit to just break the 3/8" Lexan panels. Also the arcade sensors wear out regarless of weight; it's more based on how many times they're activated. _________________

Nah, being vegetarian is cool. My bro was vegetarian but gave it up. Anyway. I am an overweight person and I think it makes all the better. It's like that video when that incredibly fat guy pass A on Heavy. Only I don't get made fun of it. People are actually impressed that i can pass songs on Heavy. I maybe not be able to pass any of 10 footers but i can pass the fun easy songs. _________________

I play on the 8-9 foot level and am a pretty big guy, i'm about 220-230 lbs, the caveat is that i'm over 6 feet tall. So in reality i'm only 15-25 lbs overweight. |

I agree with this. Especially when it's a little kid who doesn't know how to be careful with the machine at all. |

can you really blame the fat ppl or the stomping kids when a ddr machine can rake in 100 bucks a week easilyin most places...
how long does it take a 300 man that stomps to wear down the machine vs how long does it take to replace the whole pad. keep in mind he has to pay to play |

Mistercow, I think that was sarcasm.

Yes, I can blame them completely and utterly. They have no parent supervision at all. They run around the arcade completely wild and out of control. And they destroy and ruin every single other machine in the arcade, such as breaking a gun or just plain ripping the cord out of the machine. And the only reason the machine is getting 100+ bucks a week is because dumb little kids put in 9 quarters, play one song, then walk away. |
